I have a crush on someone from a facebook group I belong to, and they are definitely not available. They have never contacted me privately to flirt or anything, but they're a good person, really nice, we seem to have some things in common, and I don't know if there is a more attractive person. I want to be an adult about it and be able to stay in that group, but I also think being adult about it might mean leaving the group to just forget about it. I'm not sure what to do.

Grossed out/pissed off. My former coworkers and I were all very, very close since we were a small company. Nearly 10 years after most of us left the area (because our office here closed) or left the job completely, we remain close. Well I just went on Facebook. My birthday is Monday, and there's a message from a former male coworker, saying "Happy Birthday, gorgeous!" I replied thank you, and lamented that it's the big 45. He answered, "I'm sure you still look yummy and delicious, you have to send me a picture." He's married with two kids. I'm also married. Wtf?! Last year I found out that he'd had a long-term affair with another married coworker. We never even flirted back when we were both single, so I don't know where this is coming from.

I play Scrabble on Facebook and I am having an "off" day. It's pissing me off a lot more than it should. I just now realized that my period should start tomorrow. Definitely NOT a coincidence.

It is not a scandalous sort of confession, but more of a self confession. I have a crush on a guy living at least 3 countries away. The worst is that I am 30 and he is 40 and it sounds just so fucked up to fall for someone whom you barely know, but feel like you have always known him or can see him transparently. After 5 years all I could do was to send him a friendship request on Facebook and exchanging short conversations where there were more ''hahahahas'' than '' oh wow, that is interesting and what about you?''s. Go figure..

My boyfriend has 3 cousins. All of them are born the same year so they are more like brothers. The three of them started dating their girlfriends around the same time BF and I started dating. This was our first Christmas together. The 3 girlfriends and I got together and got them 4 tickets to see their favorite NBA team play today. At their big family Boxing Day dinner they all took turns presenting their gifts. They all went shopping together apparently. The 3 cousins each bought their girlfriends a Pandora bracelet with 2 charms, and they took the time in front of family to explain the memory/reason behind each charm. BF got me an "I'm with stupid baseball hat". He kept laughing after I opened it. Boy was he right. It was so awkward the rest of his family couldn't even look at me. He was still laughing hours later when him and his cousins left for the game. I am currently driving over to my parents place for a visit after going to his place and getting my stuff/leaving my key. I left the damn hat too. I've also blocked his phone number and Facebook because I have no interest in speaking with him. Been crying the entire time I've been in my car driving.

Whenever I hear someone older bitching on Facebook about the "entitled and spoiled" 20 somethings I have to laugh because their picture is usually them giving the duckface and constant online drama.

I am so jealous of my family's outing for Saturday. I have to work and some of the family is coming from out of town. They are going to a nearby town that I love. I've been trying for over a year to get DH to go on a day trip with me. His parents never go on day trips either, and I'd love for them to go with us somewhere like that too. But tomorrow DH, his sister, his brother, their spouses and parents and 2 kids are all going to this town and I can't go. I am so bummed, jealous, and disappointed. This is like a once in a decade opportunity, the group of us are never together let alone all of us going out like that? If we are together they usually just want to eat dinner or sit in front of the TV. I can't call in and we can't afford for me to miss work. I just know they are going to be plastering photos all over Facebook :o(

I've seen Facebook posts that frankly concern me because they give too much info about a family's habits. My family is using an app to communicate & stay in touch outside of FB. An 8 yr old can use it. It's called Group Travel by Lightbulb Corp. It's secure and all our information isn't out there. We worried about people knowing when our house was empty or where we are when we communicated on FB, now they don't. Makes us feel safer.

Every day on here, it seems, there's some gripe about Facebook. I just breathe a sigh of relief that I unplugged from it 2 years ago and have never missed it, not even for a single minute. I just wonder why others get so riled up about it, yet continue to use it. I know, sometimes it's a necessity for people but when I found myself blocking people left and right because I was so irritated, I decided enough was enough.

I hate it when people post a half assed statement on facebook. Don't just say you're pissed; say why.
