Pfft...American Horror Story without Lily Rabe? Day without sunshine!

I used to read a bariatric surgery support forum years ago, even though I never had and would never need bariatric surgery. I also read a support forum for people on dialysis and a support forum for people with bipolar. All of them were sites I found by accident. I don't hang around these sites consistently, but sometimes I will go back and read them or seek out forums for people with experiences or conditions completely different from my own. Some people find it interesting to read about what other people live through. Travel sites are cool and all but I am more curious about people than I am some posh hotel for American tourists in Thailand.

I feel so sorry for those poor little children sent to the US from Central America by their parents. Why can't the U.S. enforce our borders? 8000 children here without parents and living in detention. I also feel sorry for the authorities who are trying to enforce the borders without the resources they need. We need to send those children back where they came from. This is a humanitarian crisis but the US shouldn't have to deal with it. How can we absorb 8000 kids without parents? Oh - let's bring their whole families here to take care of them on our welfare system. How could this even happen?

Oooooooh, the "I can't drink American Beer" snobbery. I can't stand those people. You know what? NO ONE CARES that you travelled to Europe and sipped on the delicious concoctions made by Belgian Elves using secret ingredients from the 15th century. It's so snotty and arrogant. Go drink whatever you like NO ONE GIVES A RATS SHIT

Big brand American beer really does suck. Not that America doesn't have great beers, but the best selling, popular and well advertised ones truly are terrible. But frankly I don't think the mainstream German ones are great either. Yes I am a beer snob.

Ugh, just traveled with a group of friends throughout Europe. We had a good time but when we came back a friend's relative threw us a "welcome back" party. I had a lot of fun but one of my friends was offered a beer and he said "No thanks! After the trip we had I can't drink American beer anymore. I only drink German beer and American just tastes like swill." I had to roll my eyes at him. If someone is gracious enough to offer you a beer you can either say a simple yes or no, you don't have to insult a person's beer taste. Sure, German beer IS good and I prefer it but I won't go snubbing another country's beer or a person's taste. Why did he have to be so rude?

I'm OP of the Asian people who scammed me. They were very proud of themselves and didn't see anything wrong with what they did. According to their culture, as they told some friends, this makes them smarter than the people who helped them. It was important to them to feel superior by any means they could. I'm sure they laughed about American gullibility all the way home on the plane. We should realize the different mindset when we deal with other countries, like China.

Most right wingers will come to extreme conclusions about Bows Bergdahl because they can't see past what the media tells them is right. I tend to find people like that very small minded and cruel. He's alive and back on American soil. What happens next intrigues me, but I'll wait to hear what he has to say before I condemn him in my mind. He'll I wouldn't even be mad if he did do something as trivial as desert. Where subtype outrage against the soldiers who killed innocent civilians.....right....those men were greeted with a heroes welcome home.
