Oh, yours too? My inlaws are all keeping quiet about it too. They all voted for Trump even though they claim to be Christians because "Trump was the lesser of two evils" and "Hillary is a baby killer". Yadda yadda yadda. Now they're all hiding their heads in the sand about what is happening in this country and it makes me so damn angry it isn't funny.

What is Wrong with You

I'm religious and I believe in Jesus. But I don't call myself a Christian. I think Jesus was a man, a real man, a flesh and blood man. I think he had a profound effect on society and shaped the world. That said, I think all people go to heaven, all religions and all atheists go to heaven. There is no point to hell. Would you send your own child to hell just because they believe differently than you? Of course. not. And don't you think God loves me as much as you love your child? Would you subject your own child to eternal suffering because they believed differently than you? What purpose would that serve? What's the purpose of being good ONLY to get into Heaven? Shouldn't being good be its own reward? Are people really being righteous if they are ONLY trying to avoid hell? That's pointless. So therefore, no I don't believe Jesus is my savior and that I needed him to die for my sins. I don't really believe in sin at all. I think it's an outdated concept.

You can believe Jesus was a real person and not be a Christian. To be a Christian, you have to believe that Jesus is your Savior and died for your sins. I know a lot of atheists who don't disbelieve that Jesus was real.

From Merriam-Webster- "Definition of Christian 1a : one who professes belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ." It doesn't get much clearer than that. "Christian" isn't a dirty word. If you believe in Jesus, I don't know why you wouldn't admit to being a Christian. I've heard this before, "I believe in Jesus, but I'm not religious." I've noticed that the people who say this are the most fundamentalist. They also tend to be the least tolerant.

If you believe in Jesus, you're a Christian. You aren't fooling anyone but yourself with that crap.

I consider myself a Christian but don't go around telling everyone, nor do I evangelize because everyone has their own personal journey to figure out. I've committed every sin that the bible talks about, and I'm sure I will continue to do so. I also hate a lot of people. Am I fucked up? Probably so, but I still love God and need his help everyday and consider myself a Christian. I'll never be perfect, nor am I trying to be.

I am a Christian. I have accepted Jesus as my Savior. But I hate the fact that many Christians are the nastiest people. A guy at my job has pictures of Jesus all over his desk and regularly lies about others and tries to make them look bad. A woman goes to church regularly and brags about it,but will ignore you for days if you literally look at her wrong.

Christians support Trump because they don't really agree with Jesus. They are filled with hate, and they are a bunch of racists.

My opinion is that there's a difference between 'religious people' and Christians. Some religious people go to church every chance they get, judge everyone else while hiding their own vices and addictions, and can quote specific passages from the Bible to promote their agenda. Christians make wrong choices from time to time, have vices, and are less than perfect all the time. We also love God and other human beings and accept them where they are. And I personally believe that a true Christian could never vote for a person (Trump) who is the exact opposite of what God asks us to be. Just my two cents....
