While at the phone store this morning DH and I had to watch a freaking Trump rally in the library parking lot across the street. The library is a polling place! They had hundreds of signs, Trump flags, and people on loudspeakers telling people how to vote! Evidently that shit’s legal in Florida. Oh, and then there’s the Biden/Harris campaign bus that Trumpies blocked and harassed in Texas. It’s like that POS has NO rules!!

I have been keeping a safety stock of food and toiletries ever since the lockdown started, but I don't have the luxury of staying hunkered down if there's any sort of unrest. My company won't close and I'll still have to go to work. Plus, most of my coworkers are pro-Trump. I definitely hope he loses but it's going to piss a lot of people I work with off. I'll just avoid politics for a LONG time.

I've already started stocking up. I believe that if Trump doesn't win, his Q-Anons, Proud Boys and Boogaloos will start with violence like we've never seen. I hope those who are standing for change now will stand when faced with this BS. Food isn't the only thing we're stocking up on, btw.

My favorite one is this from a while back, "I hate that socialist Obamacare bullshit, I use the ACA instead and it's great." .... Oh, how I wish this was a joke and didn't actually happen. And this was a client, so I had to just nod and smile. Just an FYI, later in the conversation this guy grinned creepily at me and said, "Boy, it must be hard to work with all that long blond hair." ..fucking creep.... Douchebag probably has a couple of those Rambo trump flags on his piece of shit truck.

The GOP has done a great job of convincing working class Americans that the reason they can't get ahead is because of immigrants and minorities. They've convinced them that they are leaching off the system and taking their jobs, which is complete BS. It's the ultra wealthy and corporations who are leaching off the system. They are the ones who are keeping wages low while their wealth increases exponentially. I don't understand how these working class people are OK with the fact that folks like Donald Trump pay less income tax than they do. But the GOP says, "But there are people who pay no income taxes." No shit. There are people who SHOULD pay no income taxes, but millionaires and billionaires like Trump are not those people, yet here we are.

Since we're all posting our confusion with right wing viewpoints, here's mine. Trump is well known for being loved among working class voters. It's actually impressive (in a diabolical way) how working class people have been hoodwinked into basically voting against their interests. Not just with Trump, but in recent history and throughout the world, a lot of the working class have become really right wing. It's really amazing to me how a tax cheating billionaire who inherited his fortune has become so popular amongst people who have little money, and so many have absorbed this "Pull yourself up by your bootstraps" mentality when they *know* how difficult it is to live with little or no money to spare. I guess everybody has been brainwashed with this hustle culture American Dream, "Anyone can be a millionaire/billionaire" nonsense. I feel sorry for so many of these people until they start spouting the racist anti immigrant talking points, then I just can't.

I'm worried too. I just hope enough Dems realize they HAVE to vote for Biden in order for Trump to lose. None of this voting third-party BS that they tried when Hilary ran. That scumbag has GOT to get out of the Oval Office in a little more than a week.

There are actual forums out there of Trumpers who are sharing tips on how to do voter intimidation. Trump is actually recommending "poll watchers." How is this legal, and how is he allowed to talk like this? I support free speech but I also think the president really shouldn't be allowed to encourage people to threaten violence on those who aren't going to vote for him. This isn't some developing nation dictatorship, why the fuck are these people who act like they love the US so much behaving like this? This is not American behaviour, this is North Korean behaviour.

So after last night’s debate I’m REALLY worried! Joe’s statement about the oil industry may have cost him the election. While Trump was just spouting his normal ‘I am the greatest’ rhetoric, I felt that Joe was doing so well....until then. Texas, Oklahoma and PA voters aren’t gonna like that. I’m sick at the thought of four more years of this BS.

I am so worried about this election. I really think Trump has a chance of winning. It's NOT going to be a landslide; it's going to be frighteningly close.
