Saw this on Twitter. One of Trump's admins (can't remember who) said they left the WH correspondents' dinner because it was "disgraceful." Someone replied, "How disgraceful was it? Like on a scale of 1 to paying off a porn star." Thought that was hysterical.

The thing about the Correspondents' Dinner is that it's supposed to be a roast. After everyone is done roasting the administration, the POTUS is supposed to then give a rebuttal. Trump is such a snowflake, he can't even handle cracking a few jokes, let alone being roasted. The leader of the Free world would rather throw a racist rally instead.

If I were the president and anyone in the current administration, I would not go to a White House correspondent dinner. What is the purpose? It used to be good clean joshing, pointing out foibles, all in the spirit of fun. Now it's just mean. Let the WH correspondents bash away - but without the presence of those they are bashing. (I earned a living for many years as a journalist, but not in Washington. Worked for major newspaper in my state and weeklies in another state.)

The Trump administration has such a high turnover for several reasons, none of them good. First, because they appointed complete morons who were incapable of their jobs and should have never been in that position to begin with. Second, they were lying or engaging in immoral, unethical, or perhaps even illegal activities. Finally, they were actually decent people who called out the idiots in the other two groups (or Trump himself) for their questionable ability or moral compass, pissed off Trump because of it, so he fired them. But seeing as Trump repeatedly tells us how he only hires and surrounds himself with the "best people," it kind of laughable. He truly believes that and still claims that, while all of these people get fired, which just proves he really is the Alpha Idiot.

I like the rapid turnover at the Trump administration. If a person isn't doing his/her/its job, that person should be fired. This also applies to other sectors, like business and educators. Get the slackers out.

Same. I live in the heart of Trump country. Most people here didn't like him when they voted, they just disliked HRC more. While I voted for HRC, I understand their thought process. They're appalled by the Trump administration now. And most of them would've voted for Bernie. Oh well. Shoulda, woulda, coulda.

I can't be nice about a President who brags about sexually assaulting women, nor can I be nice about our VP, who is openly anti-lgbtq and all for passing laws that are blatantly anti-women. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Expecting people to keep their emotional responses in check in regards to these buffoons is unrealistic. I'm loving that people are putting their anger into action and fighting this administration. Sure, there's unhelpful bullshit being spewed online, from both sides, but the fights taking place irl to take these sickos down is inspiring. Maybe we need to read more Trump quotes to remind us of why people are so riled up...

I kind of miss my old office. It's closer to home, and the people were nicer. But I DON'T miss the constant collections. It's Admin Day. It's Boss' Day. It's the Admin's birthday. It's the Boss' birthday. This person is pregnant, that one had a baby. And the tragedies. Just so weird for an office of ~130! So many family/spouse deaths, accidents, fires, etc., it was unreal. My new office has over 400, and there's not been one collection or tragedy in the 5 months I've been there.
