Shit, I hate that I don't have the desire for sex. Don't get me wrong I want sex, but my body doesn't desire it. So i have to force myself to initiate because I don't thi k it's fair for my DH to always initiate sex. Once I get going though, I'm okay and we have a nice, fairly long time together. (DH never has forced me, he's very patient).

I hate when my desire is greater than the stamina/toughness of my vagina!! That I have to take a break because of physical toll on my vagina, even though I'd love to keep having sex 6x/day for a few days!

A co-worker is pregnant. I want to be happy for her but just can't. She's married and they have a 6 year old already. She works PT with no desire to work more. Her DH has a job but it pays very little and is not very secure. No health insurance and still in debt from having baby #1. Live in a very small 2 BR house which they are probably going to have to leave soon since it was sold and they are only paying about half of what it's worth. New landlord will raise the rent to market value as soon as lease is up. And they can't afford to pay more. No idea where they think they're going to find another place for anything close to what they pay now. Even if they could afford it, their credit is so bad I doubt they'd be approved. Car is on it's last legs and won't pass inspection. Insurance on it also lapsed cause they couldn't afford it anymore. What in God's name made them think having another kid was a good idea? Oh, and the pregnancy was totally planned.

I'm 30 years old and childfree and sometimes i wish i did want kids. i feel weird and like less of a woman sometimes when I'm around other women my age and all they talk about their current and future babies. i have a hard time relating to them with this. even if i try to steer the conversation elsewhere it eventually goes back to kids. sometimes i feel as if there's something wrong with me because i completely lack the desire to become a mother while everyone around me is trying their hardest to do just that. it can be lonely sometimes.

I wouldn't worry if I were you. I didn't have a best friend when I was 10. I still don't have a best friend. I have plenty of friends and acquaintances but I've just never been the type to have a BFF. I'm an introvert and a loner by nature. I just don't really have any need or desire to have one single best friend and never have. I suppose it's odd to some people but it's just how I am.

I never went to prom because I had no desire. I had a boyfriend but didn't want to deal with the hassle of a dress, make up, etc. I never thought i was missing out and didn't even think twice about it.

Been married for 14 years, sadly, to a low-libido, low-desire man. I thought it would change over time. He saw doctors, therapists, etc., made promises to change, and we've been through the usual ups and downs of life (illness, people dying, etc.), but I am TIRED of being in a sexless marriage. I asked him, and he agreed that if I were the one with a low libido/not having sex with him when he wanted to, he would leave/cheat, but he thinks I should STICK IT OUT with him, that he "won't change overnight." (Why do most men feel you gotta stay and put up with their BULLSHIT, but not the other way around?) I'm giving him one last chance, and will let him know up front that if things aren't better by January 2017, I'M OUT!! I know leaving a marriage and someone you love is not so black/white, cut and dry, but thankfully, there are no kids involved and very few assets, so I can move around and hope things ON HIS PART won't get messy in the event we divorce.

I have a good life. Everything is going good in life...except I lack friends. I have nobody to call my BFF. I've always had a hard time making friends and when I do make friends they tend to take advantage of me. It sucks being so lonely and feeling like nobody wants you around and like nobody desires your company. I feel so lonely. I have my dh but I long for friendships so much, I long to be wanted and to have someone reach out to me and ask me about my day or ask if we can go do something fun. I just changed my profile picture on FB earlier today and not one like. Am I really that bad to like? Tired of feeling unwanted and invisible.

Why people believe a complete stranger is going to automatically have the exact same love, compassion, instincts, patience, and bond with a child her husband had with another woman is still a mystery to me. A stepmom enters a child’s life after he/she has experienced one of the most devastating experiences in life—the loss of the family unit. This trauma often instills fear, insecurity, anger and uncertainty. And we expect this distressed child and the new woman in dad’s life, to instantaneously connect as family. We ignore that the child already has a mother, and rarely desires another. Also, it’s common for the remarriage to trigger the child’s fear of being disloyal to Mom, causing rejection and snubbing toward a stepmom. I’m still perplexed over why it’s hard for people to grasp that stepfamilies have a profoundly different dynamic than biological families. I know I love my step child, but it's not the same maternal bond between a mother and child carried and raised from birth.

Nine years ago I married a man who has a son from a previous marriage. "Eli" is now 26 and lives "on his own." While he may live under a different roof than his parents, they support him financially. My husband and I pay Eli's car insurance, cellphone bill, toll tag, life insurance policy and whatever other things come up (passport, gym membership). Eli's mom assists with all of his utility bills, in addition to depositing money in his account monthly. They even turned over Eli's 529 tuition account to him.I have tried explaining to my husband that they are enabling Eli, and the umbilical cord should have been cut years ago. Eli has never earned more than $12,000 a year and has no desire to try because he has an endless flow of financial support. His dad is retired but continues to work in order to help Eli -- although he won't admit it.This is straining our relationship because when I bring up this issue, he feels I am attacking his son. Am I unrealistic.
