I knew a woman years ago who wanted to dramatically drop her weight. She was quite heavy, over 300 pounds. She found some old diet plan from the 1980's that her mom used to follow and followed it religiously. It consisted of beef bouillon, black coffee, eggs, tuna, green beans and hot dogs. She lost close to 90 pounds in 4 months. She also ended up in the hospital with electrolyte derangements. That's an extreme example but there are always those who follow fad diets to the extreme and compromise their health. No one wants to hear "eat less, exercise more, cut out the snacks and processed foods".

I am so much more at peace and happier when single. Relationships stress me out. No kids, 3 dogs, 2 cars, own my house all paid off.

My beloved doggie Clover passed away last month and I miss her every second. She ran away and was missing for three days before we found her by a pond. It was awful. She’d had a seizure the day before she ran off and we think she wanted to go off and die on her own which is not so uncommon for dogs. My kitty Kissa has been a huge comfort in this bad time and we just got another kitty to keep her company, a Siamese named MoonPie. My old dog Tobi is on his last legs too (15 years old mini schnauzer) and I’m constantly checking to make sure he’s still breathing. I’ll be heartbroken when he passes, but also relieved. These past couple of years have been stressful because of our geriatric dogs.

I have Binge Eating Disorder. Some of my earliest memories are of bingeing. I remember being 3 or 4 years old and eating whole packs of raw hot dogs, entire boxes of cereal, anything I could sneak into my room. I was never abused. I had a great childhood. It is not psychological. It is a physical need to eat all the time. I spent most of my life overweight, but am a normal weight now. I still binge. But I have restricted what foods I can eat. I basically eat Whole30 all the time. No sugar. That said, i can an entire chicken at a time. I can eat 10 eggs. I have been to therapy a gazillion times over decades. But it doesn't work because like I said, this is not psychological. Some meds have helped, but they wear off after a few months. I watch My 600 Pound Life, and I get it. I see what they eat, and I have totally done that before. I think a lot of people fall into the same category as I do. cont'd

My friend has baby fever. She is newly married and has bipolar disorder. She is talking about how great having a baby will be even though she can barely take care of the two dogs she adopted. She claims her DH will do "most of the day to day stuff when I'm depressed". That won't set her up for him being resentful or anything. I think she's delusional about what motherhood will be like, but hey, whatever. I can't live her life for her.

I don't get these monthly subscription boxes. Dogs, cats, now I see one for clothes. Who needs this every month? No wonder people are hoarders. Its gross the amount of stuff people think they need.

Not all pit bulls are badass and not everyone who owns one wants them for that reason. My dog went to obedience class with a pit bull that was so friendly-they became best puppy dog friends. His owner was a really sweet lady who had rescued him from the shelter. I would get a pit in a second--they are very friendly dogs and are so fun to train.

I think people use pit bulls to try to look badass. It's pathetic. It's like they're against the stigma that they're violent dogs, but they play up their bad reputation to look cool on Facebook.

I have 3 dogs, 2 males, young, and an older female. Today the 2 males were playing and the bigger one suddenly got very rough with the smaller one. He snarled and snapped, and the younger smaller male was terrified and ran away. I grabbed the bigger older dog by his collar and put him in the bathroom, the older female followed us growling at him. Then I waived a toilet plunger at him. I did NOT hit him. I just waived the plunger and yelled at him, then stuck the plunger on the wall next to him. Yes , maybe I overreacted. The plunger fell off and landed on him but didint hurt him. I let him out about 5 minutes later. He went up to the smaller male dog and licked him. I realize I should have handled it a little better. None of the dogs are hurt.
