I just got into it with my 18 year old ds. He got mad because I was going to shut his phone off. He was slamming things around and that's why I was going to shut his phone off.. Then he threw my purse. I threw all his shit outside, thrashed his room and thrashed my kitchen. I've had enough of him not going to school or looking for a job. I'm so tired of living. His dad and I are separated but live together. His dad is also an alcoholic. I told my son that I wish he'd kill himself. I hate myself for the way I am and the things I've said to him. I hate my life. My son won't go to therapy or al-anon with me either. Please pray for us. I feel so hopeless I could just die.

You're right. I'm sure the CNA could have just walked down to the kitchen, wherever that is, and brought your mom up a new lunch. *eyeroll* Seriously, if it was after lunch and before dinner, where did you think they were going to get a hot meal? Heaven forbid they encourage her to take a bite after her lunch sat untouched, so that she wouldn't have to wait until dinner. It sounds to me like that person was trying to do something kind, and you were rude to them.

Even though it's "my" NYE with ds, his dad asked if he could go with them tonight for a family dinner. Since ds and I have big plans for tomorrow night, I said yes. Dh is away for work and not far from his kids, so he'll be with them tonight. I got off work at 3, came home and saw ds off. I didn't get invited anywhere tonight, not even by my cousins (my family is in another state). So far I've done two loads of laundry, cleared out the cabinet under the kitchen sink, cleaned the kitchen floor and stovetop, cleaned both bathrooms and vacuumed the downstairs. I started washing the walls upstairs but I think I should get to the oven first. And I really want to steam clean the carpets. I haven't been this productive all year. Happy New Year. If I'm still awake, the dog and I will watch the ball drop together.

Been out all day and haven’t eaten. Asked fil if it was a “fend for yourself night” and mil overheard and said it’s a leftovers night because she made so much food last night there’s no room in the fridge for anything else. I don’t like any of what she made last night so I’m starving in our room hoping she’ll get away from the kitchen soon so I can make some top noodles or something =\

Do you guys have any YouTube channels that you watch religiously? I'm kind of obsessed I've cooking channels, like Simply Sara Kitchen and Cooking with (a) Dog. My dh makes fun of me because I really don't like to cook, but those channels are so relaxing.

I have an acquaintance who does a lot of charity work but then has to post incessantly about it on FB. It's like "Look at me and how good I am!" GACK. I'm sorry but that's just how I feel. If you need to constantly crow about your good deeds, while doing a duckface sexy pose next to the people you're feeding in a soup kitchen, I'm going to be grossed out by your cheesiness. Of course everyone else tells her how wonderful she is.

I agree that smoking is a disgusting habit! My ex was a non-smoker when I met him. Actually a FORMER smoker and he'd been quit 6 years when we got together. He knew how much I hated smoking and swore he'd never pick up again. Then he got stressed when he lost his job and picked up a pack a day habit like he never left it. I cut him some slack and he agreed not to smoke in the house. But his breath smelled and his clothes and car smelled. Then he started smoking on the back porch and left butts lying around and one of our dogs ate them and got really sick. He promised to quit "in a year" and never did. It just got worse. He started smoking in the kitchen and we'd fight about it. He argued he was smoking through an open window. No matter, I was still exposed to nasty smoke. We broke up for many reasons but that was one big one. I'd break up with an alcoholic too.

Ugh, DH is driving me INSANE today. He cooked a brisket, which is fine except that he trashed the whole kitchen doing it. Then he decided to nap on the futon in the living room and it is the ONLY place in the living room to sit down for now. So I wanted to sit down after running errands all day and he's refusing to get up and move to the bedroom to nap. I'm currently sitting here with his big stupid legs on my lap and the TV off because "it's too loud". I'm considering calling the cat to jump up here and step directly on his balls.

I bet a white woman wrote "keep living in your black and white world". I'm struggling, damn I'm struggling to just keep the lights on and guess what! I DO care about social issues! Wow, talk about black and white thinking. I even volunteer at a soup kitchen. Did I blow your feeble mind yet?. How about that. Like all we po' people care about is getting that government cheese, huh.

A couple months ago the office was abuzz about the hot, young new guy who just started. I'm 48 and married and have no interest in that way, but I just wanted to see for myself. His office is by mine, so I stopped by to introduce myself. Yep, he's hot. I see him every day, whether it be in the halls or the kitchen, and we basically just nod to each other. I have an eye infection, so today I went in with my hair just in a bun, no eye makeup, and wearing my glasses. Ran into him in the kitchen, and he said, "Good morning, (my name)," and started a conversation with me. We haven't said two words to each other in all this time, and I was surprised that he remembered my name. It just kind of took me aback.
