Oh man I laughed so much at this article about why teenagers don't like Facebook. It's a series of posts, where young adults/teens are being embarrassed by their parents/grandparents on Facebook. One poor young man has his mother put a picture of him a a toddler playing "dress up" in his fathers tighty whitey underwear. He was not please and his mother was oblivious as to why tagging him on top of this, was a problem. I don't know why, this just made me laugh so bad and I wondered what some of his friends reactions were and if she ever took it down. She apparently posted a whole album of his baby photos to FB! There were many more funny posts in the series.

A bunch of my facebook friends keep whining about the new facebook app. Saying how horrible it is and how they refuse to use it. Ive been using since it first came out and have never had an issue. I don't get what the big deal is. The "privacy issues" are the same as damn near every other app out there.

OP here of someone I don't like being here and in Facebook group....I know her in real life. She's very nosy, loves drama, and tends to be a bitch at times. I may not be leaving this site, but since I use my real name on the fb page, I guess I'll just leave that one....

Dilemma: if I don't post my birthday on Facebook, colleagues/friends in my new town (including new crush) won't know it's my birthday at all, unless one of my other friends remembers and posts something that maybe others see. But I doubt that they will, and then I'll feel badly and also no one will know it's my bday. But if I do post it, what if no one here gets the idea to celebrate with drinks, like they do for everyone else? I'll feel awful, you know? I fucking hate birthdays. I think I'll just not mention it. Better off alone. Always better off alone.

Just found out that someone I don't like is posting here AND the not so anonymous Facebook confessions page, too. Thinking about getting out of both groups (though I really don't want to).

Facebook's "report" system is laughable...I hear feminists have been banned from the site for re-posting publically made, sexist comments, yet I have reported the same things (again, said on public pages) and I get the same response every time "this does not violate Facebook's terms..." when it includes violent, graphic depictions of what the poster wants to do to women. Feminists who speak up loudly online are a lot braver than I am.

My mom posted on Facebook that Mom doesn't stand for Made of Money. She then messaged myself and my sister saying she meant it for her Dh's family. Well we're your only kids, he has none, so it looks like you're trying to say something about us. (Who are both financially independent and successful with NO help from her.) How would you feel?

I went on a holiday someplace sunny a few weeks ago and today someone I met there put a few pictures on facebook of the holiday. She is only 15 and there is one of her and her younger sister dressed like something out of hooters or a strip club- in a bar. Everywhere you look it seems kids are getting sexualised. On one holiday I saw a toddler in a bikkini and heels.

So, apparently since I'm not on Facebook anymore several close friends can't be bothered to remember my birthday. Really? Don't you have a smartphone and/or an Outlook calendar that you might be troubled to put that information in? I guess I know who my true friends are now. Assholes.
