I wonder what all the the children of all these over-sharing mommies are going to think of them when they grow up? Talking about the ones who blog or Facebook not only every milestone but pictures of poop and intimate bathroom details and naked kids in the tub (sorry, but there's a difference between taking pics of a naked baby and taking pics of a naked baby and POSTING THEM ONLINE). Online is forever, I think people forget that and I think there are going to be future adults pissed about the lack of respect for their privacy shown by their parents.

I've been picked on all my life. As a newborn my sister hit me on the head to prevent my parents from holding me. They didn't stop her. On the preschool bus all the boys ganged up on me to tease me every day. In elementary school the girls ganged up on me. The other kids at the babysitter's house all ganged up on me. My sister was often the ringleader in all those settings. In jr high I was rejected. In high school I was tormented and had coins thrown at me. Even at church I was the outcast. My parents ganged up with my sister to make fun of the way I look. I finally got my wish and moved cross country away from them. But I seem to have the same disease that everyone else has in this generation: no one is interested in anyone else's life.everyone has their own family. People post pictures on facebook to show gifts they received and vacations they took. No real interactions. I had one best friend I considered my family but he too left my life. Now I'm an adult and I'm supposed to be strong for my kids but instead I'm sobbing snotty tears into the sink at 1:30 am. How will I teach them how to go through life when I don't see why any of this is worthwhile? I can't lie to them and tell them that childhood hurts will fade as they blossom into secure adults. I can't lie that the pain of their lost first love will go away. I definitely can't lie and tell them that all the pain will be worthwhile.

I hide people from my newsfeed whenever they post anything about welfare/food stamps, guns, abortion rights, politics, or gay marriage. No matter what side of the issue they're on, more than half the time, people post about it to start Facebook arguments. And I've gone more than 30 years without knowing if you're pro-life or if you think drug testing for welfare should be a law. If I wanted to see that crap on a daily basis I would watch CNN or Fox News. That's not what I'm on Facebook for.

I put in my 2 weeks notice today. No other job lined up but I don't care. It's either I leave or I snap and walk out. My boss expects me to be on call 24/7. Days off ha I get at least 2 calls over he said she said crap, emails, and facebook messages. Lord forbid I'm not attached to my cellphone constantly! If I miss a call, call back I should have answered asap. I don't get real days off, no benefits, no vacation. I've dealt with his greedy crap for 4 years. I'm supposed to order what we need but he forgets to pay the bills so I can't. Then I'm lazy for not ordering it. How about pay your bills and we can get our orders. Two days ago I received 6 calls claiming I didn't answer a coworker funny because I talked to her. Today was supposed to be my day off but nope he forced me to come in. It took everything I had not to tell him to kiss my ass. Im not getting paid for today! He's going to feed me lies to try to keep me but f*ck him. My last nerve is shot, I'm fed up.

I have a friend who will talk and talk and talk about stuff going on in her own life. I would politely sit and listen. But when I got to talking about something going on in my own life, she picks up her phone and starts looking at Facebook or checking messages. I am like really?? So now when she starts talking, I pick up my phone and start to go through it. Im not going to give you my undivided attention if you can't give me the same.

So my friend has been in a mood lately. She has a pretty serious injury that has kept her out of work and only mobile with crutches and pain for a month now and recently found out she will need to have her whole ACL replaced. Today was her first fairly upbeat post on Facebook about how she's found a hobby to keep her busy while she's "crippled" and her BIL gets on her case about having been nominated for the ice bucket challenge and she needs to stop pitying herself because so many people have it worse than her. Hell, even he has it worse than her (according to him) and she should take a page out of his book and thank god every day for waking up... And bla bla bla. She struggles with depression and anxiety on good days... She's been out of work long enough that she's worried she'll lose her job and they were barely making it as it was with 2 paychecks. She doesn't need anyone telling her how she should handle her feelings and her life. I normally wouldn't think of butting in like this but I keep getting notifications of his comments since I had said something about knitting and crochet (the subject of the status) and feel I should say something encouraging to her. I just can't figure out how to word it. I have seen some posts here that convey the point I want to make perfectly but can't remember all of it. Something along the lines of just because others have it worse than you doesn't make what you're going through any less... But I'm not too sure how to finish it. I'd really appreciate some help.

Wow, so I told someone off (well more like put her in her place and stuck up for our friend) who is a religious fanatic who is mutual friends with someone we both know on Facebook. She told our friend who is gay that her choice is a sin then her last comment was that she knew that at least she is going to heaven, as if to indicate our friend is going to hell cause she's gay. Honestly I wanted to punch this lady. I really hope my FB friend deletes this toxic person from her friends list.

I don't know what the big deal about Facebook is. If you don't like it get rid of it. If you do like it keep it. If somebody's post bother you hide them. It's pretty easy

I'm tired of seeing people's baby pics...pretty sure we're all tired of something on Facebook. I love blessings challenges and the like. When life shakes you to the core, being able to hold on to what's good in your life can be the only thing that gets you through. If other people trying to better their lives really bothers you, I suggest you A. hide their Facebook posts and B. learn to be less bitter. Other people are entitled to their happiness as much as you are entitled to your misery.

I am so sick of the stupid challenges on Facebook and in general. the "blessings" challenge, the "30-day happy challenge," the "ice bucket" challenge. I realize I'm not obligated to participate in any of this bullshit, but I'm tired of seeing any of it. Honestly, i don't believe in 'blessings" and happiness is relative. I saw someone post to their Facebook wall some religious bullshit about how your suffering is your blessing, and I'm thinking, this person is crazy. Let's see, I have had countless deaths in rapid succession (over months to a year apart) in my family, moved to a different state, husband lost his job, I hate my job, but I can't quit because husband doesn't have a job, we are on the brink of bankruptcy, but hey, these are all blessings, and I'm supposed to be happy, right? :/
