One of the reasons I ditched Facebook was because I was getting friend requests from co-workers and I didn't want my worlds colliding.

Ugh, facebook shows a side of people you don't always want to see. I friended this girl from work and all she posts are pictures of half naked men and then she tags me.

These girls from work seem so nice, so when they friend request me on Facebook I accept. Then I look at their pages - all these memes and statuses about "chasing dick", so much drama, very aggressive stuff about accusing others of a lot of drama, very threatening stuff about "ho's" and what not, it's crazy! Lots of exclamation marks, caps lock, "yelling" about "don't look at me, don't talk about me, hoochies talking about me, gossiping about me, blah blah" Are you serious? If you are being gossiped about maybe there's a reason! Do they not realize they look like the very thing they are complaining about? "ho's" and drama and all that? You attract what you act like! Good grief! They seem so different at work.

Last month it was my birthday and I got about 200 birthday wishes on Facebook. But couldn't find a single person to go out to lunch with.

I was talking with my friend about this guy I work with. We discuss sports, and we sometimes share some snacks and some jokes. She called him my "work husband". We don't flirt or talk sexual. In fact, he once called me his mother (not quite that old, but I do have just over a decade on him) we pranked a co-worker and almost convinced him that we were brother & sister. We complain about a boss, cut-up about a lot of stuff. We've talked on Facebook. We sure as hell don't "dirty talk". He's not married either. What the hell is the problem??

I can't stand how she is so needy for attention. He was in an accident and he has to go to the hospital. Is he OK? We don't know, she just posts it on Facebook. WOW! Really?

She seems like a nice girl, I work with her. So naturally thought nothing of accepting her on Facebook several months ago. Lordy she is full of drama with a capital D! The crap she posts! Took her off my feed, right away. Such a different person. Constantly posting "Turn down for WHAT!" OMG really? Then posted a picture of someone vandalizing her car... turns out she lied. Constantly posting about messing people up who mess with her, posting memes about staying out of her business and talking shit about her... wow, maybe if you didn't post so much about drama, drama wouldn't follow you, you think? She's definitely someone to avoid... with a capital A!

Why do people post happy birthday messages on facebook for people that don't have facebook? Happy birthday little princess, you're four years old today! Can't wait to go to your party later! .... Why don't they just say it's my niece's fourth birthday today and later I'll go to her birthday party. People are stupid.

I wouldn't have an issue with the "before/after" pictures if they were real. Some of them are, but 90% of the ones that pop up on Facebook or wherever are for advertisements for diet pills or gimicky workout programs. They use different people in the before/after, or photoshop the bejesus out of them. I like the ones that come from personal weight loss stories that are honest about how hard it is, but most of them are just deceptive.

Our mother has been dead for almost 3 years. She had life insurance but I didn't file a claim because I read the fine print, and I realized they weren't going to pay out. I stopped speaking to my half-sister in 2012 - no phone calls, texts, emails or letters, so she's pissy about it. I do keep in close contact with my niece, her daughter. Last week, I got a voice mail message from my niece that the insurance company somehow got in contact with my half-sister with some "questions" that only I could answer, so my half-sister gave my niece both her work and cell phone number asking me to call her. (I filled out the paperwork for the policy and added myself and my half-sister as beneficiaries). How would the insurance company get in contact with her if both her phone numbers and home address have changed? Also, why would they bother since I never filed a claim? With all that, I asked my niece to get the number of the person from the insurance company who contacted my half-sister so I could speak to that person, since I have all the information they need regarding our mother's death. My niece told me flat out that my half-sister never gave her or had any number. If it were so important, why not pass along the number? Sounds to me like she was trying to get me to talk to her after 2 years of no contact. This is the same person who tried to friend me on Facebook after more than a year of no contact, so I blocked her. Sorry, sis, you don't get off that easily.
