I love that whenever my steaming hot cup of "I hate men" is running low, I can come here and you all remind me what tossers they are. It warms the cockles of my cold, dead heart.

I have two teenage nieces and something I'm noticing constantly is how much they get shit on for what they enjoy...both by their peers and older people, online and off. One loves anime and basically got chased off Youtube when she tried to start a channel, the comments were full of creepy men trolling her and saying she was a poser looking for attention. The other loves horses, and if any of you ladies loved riding as a kid, you're maybe familiar with the fact that a lot of people seem to kinda patronise girls who like horses, like it's this stupid airheaded thing to be into, as if it's not something that takes dedication and skill. If you like something the boys like you're a poser, if you like something "girly" it's trivialized. I remember that being a thing when I was a kid, but it almost seems worse. Why are middle aged men concerned by teenage girls liking K-Pop or concerned what Billie Eilish's body looks like? Fucking creepy, dude.

I just spent $82 on Halloween decorations. Last year, with covid, we went a little nuts. This year has been just as crazy, so we're doing it again. We're coving the front of the house in webbing and giant fake spiders. I had 22 jack-o-lanterns last year and I might do even more this year. The neighborhood kids loved it. Our cat sat in front of the door and watched everything. We had a giant bowl of candy set out, and I think we might add a cooler with soda/water/Gatorade this year. Covid sucks. Might as well have a little fun.

Sorry about your dad, but you have no idea what the situation is. The word "aggressive" could mean many things, including physical. What if this is making her suicidal? What if he's physically aggressive? It's not appropriate to make suggestions like that without knowing the situation. Expecting someone to stay in an abusive relationship for the sake of someone else is not appropriate. if the other party loves you, then they will come around a lot of the time, it might also make them wise up and realise they deserve more than than a "nasty, aggressive bully" as a partner.

We don't have leash laws here and I'm glad, I have no problem with people who can successfully control their dogs off leash having them off leash. But there are so many Covidiots who bought a dog because they were bored and have no fucking clue what they are doing running around now, and my dog hates being approached by other dogs. A cheeky bitch actually said to me she wouldn't walk hers on the leash because he pulls her. Great, so you're telling me you can't control him on the leash or off. Good job, Brenda, maybe you should buy a fucking succulent next time. Also, I just love that everybody else has to deal with your dog's problems because you can't be bothered to train him to walk on a lead properly.

If you fuck up, how about simply apologizing. Is that so hard? There's an adopt a teacher program at my kid's school. We've done it every year, and my kid loves picking out gifts and surprises for one of her teachers. The woman organizing it didn't assign her a teacher this year, even though she signed up. I get it; it's a lot. But her reaction just pissed me off. My reaction would have been, "I'm so sorry. Maybe you could xyz..." Instead, her reaction was, "Well, it's too late now. What do you want me to do?" That's a cut and paste from her email. Nice. Meanwhile, I have a daughter crying because she was really looking forward to it. Why do people have to be such assholes?

(Con't) of chronic fatigue syndrome post. I also feel like my ocd is in over drive. I have anxiety too. I haven't had a panic attack in a long time thank goodness. My boyfriend is a good man too. He always tries to make me feel loved. He tells me I'm beautiful every day. He's not perfect, but he tries so hard for our relationship. I just feel like I'll always be this way. I also have mouth and eye tics since I started adderall, but I'm scared to stop taking it because I know I'll be tired all of the time. I wish I was normal and could feel normal. Thank you all for listening.

This is called lovebombing and hoovering. As soon as they feel you pulling away, they lay it on thick to suck you back in.

Both of my grown kids hate me and won't talk to me. My 21 year old son still lives with ex in the family home. Judge ordered the house to be put on the market October 1st and sold. Ever since then my ds won't talk to me. 31 year old dd has a 2 year old and is married. I told her I'd watch granddaughter and ended up 3 days later telling her I couldn't because I wasn't feeling good. She called me a flake, cussed at me, and said, "Now you have 2 kids that won't talk to you." So hurtful with her sharp tongue. I've been through 2 surgeries (appendix removed and hysterectomy) since moving out of the family home in November 2019. This divorce has dragged on for a year and a half, ex is an alcoholic and irate, my mental health isn't great but I've been going to Al-anon and therapy since 2017. I'm trying. I just started taking adderall for chronic fatigue syndrome. So many things. I love my kids and miss the life/relationship I used to have with them. I also live 30 minutes away from them now.

I can't keep doing this. The more I dislike him, the more he hangs on and the more affectionate he gets. Where was this behavior when I actually wanted your love? When I was BEGGING you to love me and care for me the way I did you?? I don't want you anymore! Go away!
