More holiday and family bullshit, ready? Family Christmas dinner location is dictated by one sibling’s dog. Restaurant has to have indoor patio that allows dogs. If not, then the restaurant has to take reservations so the dog family can be in and out quickly. They don’t want to leave the dog for over 3 hours. The dog is 2 years old and not a rescue or abused or anxious or any health issues. My mom hates dogs, i don’t know why she doesn’t tell them to put up or shut up.

A co-worker used to work at Chili's. He was an asst manager or something... one of the guys making fajitas cut his finger by mistake. Blood... he rushed the guy back to fix his finger, bandage it, etc. But the server didn't know and took the fajitas out to the customer. There was a little finger tip in the food no one knew about. I think about how someone at a finger... god I almost never want to eat again esp at a restaurant.

It was from a taco food truck. I’ve gotten them from hole in the wall restaurants to high end restaurants.

I hardly see my best friend any more. We literally grew up together. Our grandparents and parents were friends, so we've known each other our whole lives. But I just can't stand her kids. They are horrible and out of control. They have no developmental issues, they're just entitled jerks. They will literally run into a restaurant and start ripping menus in half and laugh about it. She knows they're horrible. But she also knows it's pretty much her fault. She talk and yell until the cows come home but there are absolutely no real consequences for anything they do. And they act 100 times worse when they are with their parents than when they are with someone else. It sucks because I really miss her.

My SD hasn't spoken to me since July, when I called her out for not repaying a loan again. I've had two surgeries and two other medical emergencies and she hasn't bothered to ask her dad how I'm doing. Our grandson's 18th birthday is today and fifteen minutes ago she texted him saying she's hosting a birthday dinner at a restaurant in two hours. DH responded that we can't go because there are four steps into the restaurant and I'm on a knee scooter (which she is aware of). Her response? 'OK.' I'm sad about this whole thing.

My dad pretty much always hosts Thanksgiving for our family every year. This year, it was going to be a lot of work for him to get the house ready and my aunt suggested we all go out to a buffet restaurant. My sister quickly stepped in and offered to host instead and I offered to do almost all the food. No way are we going to eat at a restaurant on Thanksgiving. It's not relaxing, especially with kids, and we can't sit around talking and drinking coffee and eating pie on the couch all afternoon if we do it at a restaurant. Sorry, but even though we're all busier this year, we are having a homemade Thanksgiving meal, dammit.

What is it with people on online dating sights that say, "you must like PDA"? If I'm out in public and the guy I'm with wants to give me a quick kiss on the lips, or a little hug, or something like that then no problem. But what's the big deal about having to be open to PDA? Why, are you planning on making out on a street corner or in the middle of a restaurant? Why must it be such a big thing as if they're planning it out to put on a show? WTF

I remember watching news about politics on the bar television years ago when I worked at a restaurant. This one funny customer of mine used to come in and say, "Watcha watching? That show called What Old White Men Think?" I think about that a lot lately.

I'm the one who posted about being from the northeast and now living in the south. Just to clarify what I meant by more racist down south. I live in Texas. When I moved here, there were schools that still had segregated proms. There were restaurants that still had "Whites Only" signs in the window. And this wasn't 100 years ago, this was like 20 years ago. Yes, racist jerks exists everywhere. But the gov't here didn't step in and say, " You can't do that." No elected official was outraged. Those restaurants didn't go out of business because people protested or refused to do business with them. That would have never flown in the north. But it was just business as usual here. And most people didn't see the problem because these things don't make you racist in their view.

If my original post triggered you, hold onto your girdle because there's more where that came from! My mil is a walking caricature of a white old lady from the deep south. Not only is she a passive aggressive, bless your heart southern woman, she's also, and I'm sure this will shock you, extremely racist. When a black family moved into the house across the street, she literally called to say, "there goes the neighborhood." She thinks she isn't a racist because she has Mexican friends at church. She refuses to sit near black families in restaurants. If a black person walks past her in a store, the bitch will hold her nose. And every Sunday, she puts on her nicest dress and goes to church to pray for the sinners. She. Is. Awful.
