My ExDH private messaged me on facebook tonight to tell me his aunt passed away and he's heading back to our state for her funeral. She was one of my favorite people and we messaged back and forth about things we did with her and other family members when we were together A LONG TIME AGO. Now, here I sit wondering if I should go to the funeral, then talking myself out of it. And I'm kicking myself for feeling so melancholy. Yes, we had some good times, but the bad times far outweighed them. Gotta keep that in mind!

I like you but I dont want to see 100 pictures of the flowers in your yard. Put that sh*t on facebook like the rest of world so I can look at it at my leisure.

There is a facebook blogger who lost all her weight with lap band. She is constantly saying SHE lost the weight because she did the work, not her lapband. I am not shaming anyone who wants/needs bariatric surgery. But, when I see her post this I always think, then why couldn't you do it without the lapband? I feel like she has a good platform to educate others on weight loss surgery. She can say the lapband was a tool to help me reach my goal and I still had to put in extra work, etc. Just rubs me the wrong way I guess.

Sometimes I think people (not all of them, but some) only do good deeds just so they can get on Facebook and post about it and remind everyone how awesome they are.

I don't talk to either of my parents because they're both dead. I wish I had a mom to call and talk to. She's been dead since I can remember. She died when I was little. My dad died last year. It's really lonely just knowing that there's NOBODY for me to call, even if I wanted to. So please, folks, try not to take your parents for granted. Having parents, good bad or indifferent, is a privilege and not a right. I have two kids and I sure do with they would call more often. I call them sometimes but I don't want to be annoying so I try not to overdo it. But I miss them and wish they would call just to say hi or just tell me what they did that day. I don't want to read it on freaking facebook.

Looking at facebook makes me sad. I feel so out of touch with everyone. It seems to me like everybody is so connected and I'm just an outsider.

Oh friend of mine...why do you complain about the "current generation" being so awful and not educated when your own damn Facebook post is misspelled? Also, during your rant on others relying on technology did you also notice your constant posting of your baby's day, the numerous pictures of food and requests to play Farmville? You aren't exactly perfect yourself so why nag at others?

Morality is doing what is right, no matter what you're told. Obedience is doing what you're told, no matter what is right. I learned this proverb today from The Great One: Facebook.

When people make fun of those who practically live on their Iphones, tablets and Facebook, you don't need to jump in and defend your own actions. Seriously. Chill out.
