Genuine confusion...the people who have about 1500 Facebook friends...are they people you met once, do you not know some of them at all in real life? I have about 60 odd friends because I keep pruning my Facebook "tree", I don't add people I don't know (I've had a few requests for that) or people I've met once. I've even had "requests" from people who clearly didn't like me (and the feeling was mutual. I guess some people are really social, but I feel like others are "Facebook friend collecting".

I seriously feel bad for people that go to tanning beds way too often. They look so gross and so awful. I graduated high school in 2004 and I see classmates on Facebook that are still overdoing it. I know they think it looks good but why don't their family/friend/significant other try to boost their self esteem and say "You're attractive with pale skin, you don't need to risk skin cancer"? Some of them look down right scary and a couple of them look like they're in their 40's.

I'm talking to one of my friends. Let's call her "Geraldine." She's a transwoman, I've never met her in person presenting as a woman. I was friends with her back when she presented as a man. She transitioned after she left town at 32, so I've only seen her on facebook. I'm texting with her now and she's saying like "Oh, "Gerald" was my protector for so long, he brought us so far before he knew it was the end." As though her male-self is dead now. It's strange, it's like she's talking about him as though he's no longer here, but I'm only friends with her because I was friends with him... if that makes any sense. Obviously however she conceives of herself is valid and I can't tell her how to handle it, but I'm having trouble wrapping my head around it... Do any of you have friends or family that have transitioned?

I like this site so much better than facebook. It's so much more fun and interesting to watch people interact that don't actually know each other.

I have a friend on facebook who is ridiculously narcissistic. The only thing that she ever posts are rampages about how much money she has, how many 'bitches' are jealous of her, who is real and who is fake, pictures of expensive belongings, and selfie videos and pictures. I get so tired so seeing her stupid posts and twisted, arrogant philosophy. She claims that her bravado is not cockiness...simply confidence. And she was surprised when she had a few of her belongings stolen. Well--guess what? That's what happens when you advertise your so-called wealth to thousands of strangers on facebook! I'd really like to remove her, but can't find the heart. Our mothers were really close and we grew up together as best friends.

I have two cousins who both got pregnant and are raising their kids on their own. I respect that but what I don't respect is the constant sh** talking about their children's fathers. Its the same "He's not there" and "He doesn't pay for anything" thing but the thing that is funny is one cousin is outright lying because the father IS there and has been working but she uses the baby against him when their relationship is screwed up. The other cousin knew this guy had a child before he got with her and wasn't there in that child's life either. What did she think would happen? I came here to vent but what I really want to do is post for them to shut up and remember that every man that they have sex with without protection is a potential father to their babies. Of course then I would start family drama on facebook.

My facebook is blowing up with the wedding cake baker stuff...I think gay people should have the right to marry anyone they want and it's sad that people discriminate. But honestly, if someone was against my lifestyle I wouldn't want them baking my cake!

Love the theme of the week. Before facebook, still life paintings were the way to share your delicious meal. LOL

Speaking of migraines, I understand migraines are terrible and painful. I get them from time to time after my period so I know how rough they can be. But I can never understand my one friend who gets migraines almost daily and tells us how painful it is and she can't concentrate, she can't see, she's vomited and can't function. But yet, she's on Facebook all damn day complaining about it and laughing and commenting on other people's posts. She won't get any medication for it and she doesn't take anyone's advice either. I'm not believing her anymore.
