Is it health shaming or just straight up idiocy? Like, "I saw on Facebook that you can cleanse your liver with organic ginger!" idiocy. Or, "You can cure cancer with exercise and mistletoe!" kind of stupid. There's so much misinformation about medicine out there. It's scary. Sure, some diseases are exacerbated by smoking, an unhealthy diet, or lack of exercise. But many, MANY are caused by bacteria, genetics, and numerous other things that are out of our control. Honestly, the one thing people truly deserve to be shamed for is washing their damn hands. Ya nasty.

29 year old dd's baby just turned 2 weeks old. She always said she didn't want to be with or marry her husband when she was pregnant, but she stayed and married him. Now she wants to divorce him. She said he always lies and is now watching porn. She feaked out last night because baby wouldn't stop crying. Dropped baby off with me for a few hours. Baby slept good for me. Text me early in the morning saying baby hadn't slept since she picked her up from me and she was going to let her cry it out. I told her that was neglectful because baby was so young. I've tried talking to her over the years about trying to see if she is bipolar. She won't listen. Tried telling her to talk to doctor about postpartum. Who knows if she will? She's always had extreme highs and lows. I feel for baby, but I can't be her mom. I'm going through a lot in my life, and looking for a job. She also puts all her crap on Facebook. It's so embarrassing. God, I pray for her and her child. Dd and her dh are also both

So there's this woman I'm acquainted with who is probably mid twenties. We have a few mutual friends and we're friends on facebook. She's nice, a real sweetheart. But there's one thing: her eyebrows! She plucks them so they start at the center of her eyes instead of where a brow would normally begin, more toward the center of the face and it just looks so weird! No one says anything they act like it's normal so I do too....but I'm just over here like, "Are we really not gonna talk about this?"

I had to actually quit visiting this one Facebook page that I originally thought was quaint and sweet. It was about nostalgia for the 1950's, 60's and 70's. I was a kid in the 70's so a lot of the stuff they posted brought back cool memories. But then it started to get ugly People would post stuff about the "good old days" and lament how woman don't want to stay home anymore and be housewives, how feminism ruined things and integration did too. It was very obvious that some people there preferred when races "kept to themselves" and after some pointless arguing I just left. Yeah, "good old days" were "good" for a select few.

Thank all that is holy that I was a kid who got my period before the internet was around. My mom would have told EVERYONE. Just like most of my friends on FB are doing now with their DDs. It's such a personal thing and I don't know why all these women think their daughters want them posting about it all over Facebook.

It bothers me so much that my mom's family, who haven't spoken to her in YEARS, talk about how horrible it is that she has Alzheimer's on Facebook and share memes supporting research. Yet they have never once come to see her or even talked to her since she got sick. Her own mother (my grandma) hasn't reached out to see her even once in the last 7 years. I hope the lot of them rot in Hell. I'm estranged from most of them anyway, so it's no loss to me.

Facebook does this automatically. You don't fill out anything.

So...if you're on Facebook, and your name is something simple like "Jennifer Bradford," you REALLY don't need to fill out the "Pronounces Name" field. Unless, of course, you're living somewhere like Kazakhstan, where they would need help....

So, do you think it's weird or in poor taste to go on facebook and just be like, "Anybody got a place for me to crash in Detroit on the 15th and then give me a ride to the airport in the morning?" And this was after he tried (without success) to get someone to drive him all the way from up north down to Detroit for a 7am flight. Got a ride to Detroit, but the night before... not the day of the flight. So he's just kinda trolling around for a place to crash so he doesn't have to sleep in the airport. Am I the only one thinking that he should have arranged this beforehand, or booked a hotel and an uber or something? I mean, if you can afford a trip to MI from across the country, maybe you should have budgeted for ALL the transportation you'd need. *shrug* Is this a thing people do now?

Maybe I'm the only one, but it really irritates me when someone posts on facebook (like a picture of their babies or a craft they made or something they're proud of and want to show people), and people go into the comment section and try to 1UP them with their own pictures. No one cares about that one time your weird looking baby did something better than OPs baby. I swear the comment sections are nothing but undercover PTO meetings with a bunch of brawling soccer moms sometimes.
