Hang in there, OP. I'm also looking for jobs and I have a college degree and even though I've applied for like, 40 jobs in the last month, I've only had a couple interviews and no offers yet either. Something will come up. Maybe the interviews you had just weren't good fits--I really hope you find something. Life is too short to be stuck in hell forever.

Another year older. Another year I’ve come to regret not going through with my plan and ending things when I was 19. I kept waiting and waiting for life to get better and some happiness and luck to come my way, because that’s what everyone tells you. That eventually it gets better. But when? I’ve just been wasting oxygen and space and money for the past 8 years when I finally could have just been done with this pain and had some peace forever. I don’t feel I can do it anymore.

DH and I recently bought our first (affordable) house less than 2 years ago. we love it and the area. it's just big enough for the 2 of us and our pets though (we're not having any kids). we're undecided if we should make this our forever home or eventually upgrade. on one hand it would be nice to get a bigger home but on the other it would be great to stay put, pay it down, and become mortgage free forever.

I read an article about how almost all "diets" are basically structured eating disorders. They're based on restriction and making rules about foods. That's why "diets" fail, because most people can't do it for any length of time and they're very hard on your body. The only really sustainable way to lose weight is to make a few changes you know you can make forever and do them slowly. A diet of canned tuna and lettuce does something to your brain and starts making you feel guilty about eating anything else, even if those other foods are healthy.

So within the course of a week, my dh has received a new territory for his business, asked me to go back to work with him, bought a new SUV and trailer for me for work, and asked me to hire a nanny for the weird schedule I'll be keeping. I'm stressed and scared of failing, but if I can keep my anxiety at bay, I think this could be a fun and new adventure for us. Hopefully this will be the big break that leads to a forever home and real financial security. Fingers crossed.

I am eating pancakes while on a date because I bought an "house joint or blunt" instead of an .5 because the man at the store was like " I can't sell you 5 anymore". Resulted in me having extra time. I'M GOING TO BE FAT FOREVER!!

I read the comments to my last post about being in love with my BFF. With regard to the first comment, being on the rebound has nothing to do with it if she's not into me like that anyway. With regard to the second comment, Stormyweather, you're right. As difficult as it is, I will have to get over myself and my feelings, stop ruminating, and let it go. I can't predict what will happen in the future, of course, but I would rather continue to have her in my life as my best friend than to act foolishly by telling her her how I feel and end up losing her forever, which I already wrote I would neither act on my feelings nor tell her. Thanks for the feedback.

It always makes me giggle when people assume that cf people have money and an easier life. Nope. Divorcing my ex took forever because I don't make much money and we had property together (house, cars, etc). Lawyers aren't cheap. I suppose if things are amicable, it's easy, but my divorce was far from amicable and I am not a wealthy woman. Just because I didn't have kids didn't mean I could just pack up and go. Go where? With what? These things take time and and it's fucking FINE if people vent here while they're going through the process.

WHAT is it with "ghosting" nowadays??? Four of the past guys I've talked to have ghosted me instead of just telling me they weren't intestested and didn't want to talk anymore. Like right in the middle of conversations they stopped responding forever. I mean these are 30 year old men not kids. Just tell me why you don't wanna talk, it's so hurtful and confusing when i get ghosted. I'm only 27 and I can't believe how hard dating has gotten. I cry myself to sleep sometimes because either a decent man doesn't exist, or something is really wrong with me that I get ghosted.

I am job hunting in the city that I grew up in, near where my family lives. So...I started house hunting there too. I found a cute little 2 br, 1 bathroom Cape Cod on the same street I lived on as a kid. It was too cramped for 5 people, but for me and my dog, it'd be perfect. Note I said just me and my dog--DH isn't coming. I plan to leave him here and get away forever. Life is too short for me to stay married to someone so negative, so hateful, and so demeaning.
