So tired of the stress my body's feeling. Heavy heart, short of breath, constant headache, difficulty sleeping. Why do breakups hurt so bad?

I'm a big part introverted. Now, I do like to chat with people, but not in big crowds. Surely I can't be the only one that feels this way, but... I may have a very good friend, and when it's their birthday or going away, etc, I hate it when they have a huge party with a bunch of people I don't know. I get invited, but I don't go. What happens is, I would go and end up sitting way far from the person I care about, I won't get to see them or talk to them, so what is the point? Like, a good friend got married. I'd have to spend $2K I don't have, just to maybe get 1 minute of their time. I'd rather wait until I have the money then go visit them, actually get to stay with them, have dinner with them, and have quality time with them. I had a friend move away, would have liked to go to his going away but he had like 50 people there I didn't know. I would have maybe got a table outside while he was inside surrounded by everyone. I probably would have not even got to talk to him! Would have been stuck at a table alone, awkward. People think I don't care but... things like this end up breaking my heart.

If someone dies of a heart attack, it isn't their fault. Same goes for mental illness. Heart disease, diabetes, bipolar disorder, depression, hypertension, whatever. They are all illnesses and everyone reacts differently to illnesses. Some people have strokes. Some people kill themselves. It's always a sad event worthy of sympathy, not condemnation.

Judging what Scottish people are capable of by shit that happened hundreds of years ago just proves you need to stop watching Braveheart and join the real world. "Hotheaded" really? Shall I start labelling all Americans as dumb? No, I'm not that ignorant.

To the open heart surgery person that left her husband, you are going to be sooo okay!! I'm impressed by your strength, both physical and mental. I just hope others in bad marriages can see that they too can get out and will be okay. Sorry for the lame old phrase..but, You Go Girl!!

I spent the weekend crying over him. I promised myself that was it - I won't shed another tear for him again. I just broke my promise to myself. When will my heart stop hurting?

There are things a male employee does not say to me. You do not call me "babe", "darling", "Honey", "sweetheart" or "dollface". Try it once.

My grandmother signed off of dialysis four years ago. She was 79 and just didn't want to keep on going with it. It was painful and left her drained. She said she had had a good extra three years with her family but it was time to let nature take its course. Of COURSE there were family members who told her she was "comitting suicide" and would go to HELL for it. She discussed it with her church and they assured it was not suicide to sign off dialysis. She had a peaceful few weeks once she signed off (she didn't feel well but she had hospice to keep somewhat comofrtable) and she said her good byes and passed. Why are people so awful to others during their hardest times? I really have a hard time looking at those people who couldn't assure grandma iwth open hearts and minds that htey loved her and respected her decision. Now I realize purposeful suicide is somewhat different...but don't people realize that people who make such a drastic decision are suffering?? So quick to pass judgement. I don't think God is judgemental at all. That is a human imperfection.

I had open heart surgery last week Thursday. My previous surgery was a nightmare due to dsd11 & 13. They would snatch pillows I had propped from beneath me (ow), scream and throw tantrums when I'd tell them I couldn't do things for them, slam my bedroom door & turn up tv's as loud as possible to wake me from my drug induced sleep. DH allows his kids to run the house & be disrespectful. They have no rules. He expects me and my dd10 to cater to them all out of fear of them believing the horrible things his ex tells them about him. So with this surgery I checked with him regarding the visitation schedule so I could have a few peaceful days following my surgery. Thursday morning DH tells me once I go into surgery he's going to pick up dsd's. I got so upset my surgery was delayed until my bp was lowered. When I awoke from surgery no Dh. I had to get a co-worker to pick me up Saturday since Dh giving in to dsd's not wanting him to leave them to come get me and the hospital won't release you to a cab. When I finally get home the house I cleaned for 2 days is a disaster, all the breakfast burritos and sandwich wraps I made for DH and my dd are spread out all over the kitchen table dsd's are running around the house screaming. Co-worker walks me to the downstairs spare bedroom I prepared with plans to stay in until I was well enough to do stairs and we find dd desperately trying to clean it up since dsd's made a huge mess of it. This is the last straw for me.I can no longer live as an after thought, I had to take my dd and get out. It took all day due to my surgery, but I had family come while Dh was at work yesterday and move us into a hotel suite. My renters recently broke their lease on the home I lived in before Dh. It is currently being renovated so I will be moving in when it's done in 2-3 weeks. I spoke with Dh .He apologized, says he wanted to be there for me, but as always he blames me stating I don't love his kids enough to ignore their behavior. I screamed at him that he left me for dead(I know I was dramatic, I blame the meds). Today I feel free & at peace. Dd is in the living room on her laptop with no one trying to snatch or throw things at it. She feels this hotel stay is like a vacation. We have 2 bedrooms, a stocked fridge and it clean & quiet. I don't want anything from that house. He can keep all my furnitue, etc since dsd's damaged it all. Between my naps I am looking at furniture web-sites. After being widowed and now planning a divorce I plan to stay alone for a long while. Thank goodness I have a career and a pre-nup to protect my savings and all my properties.

I made a mistake. I shouldn't have married my husband and I am not in love with him, I'm not sure I ever was. He loves me with all his heart and I think he deserves more. But, we now have two kids and they come first. We love and respect each other and will remain a family. It could definitely be worse and I realize that even with just a best friend, I have more than many women do. It's sad to think I won't ever have the intimate side of a marriage, but I chose this and now I will do what is best for my family, not myself.
