In response to a confession. Yeah, it does feel almost like I had a past life somewhere in Europe. I have weird flashbacks sometimes...anyone else get those? That's probably why I feel so out of place sometimes.

I believe in past lives and think that sometimes we carry unresolved crap over into our current life.

Does anyone else ever feel like they were born in the wrong culture or era? I feel all the time like I don't fit in with anyone else in my area. I often feel like I'm older than I am chronologically. I kind of wonder why that is.

In response to a confession. Thanks! I've read lots on it, it's just exhausting, you know? I do daily prayers and meditations to protect myself, I just have to be aware of my emotions all the time. I read the channeling Erik blog and really like what it said about being an empath. Basically, when you encounter a weird "out of nowhere" emotion, look at it like a shirt. Is this my shirt? Is this someone else's shirt? If it's not your shirt, take that shit off! I think a lot of people look at it like it's a superpower, but it's kind of a pain in the butt.

In response to a confession. It was terrible for me, too, until I learned how to manage it. As soon as I feel someone else's emotions, I shield myself. I also have to do a mini-meditation and shielding before leaving the house, because if I don't, it can get very draining for me. Here's a link for you :) https://www.aconsciousrethink.com/2746/17-survival-tips-for-empaths-and-highly-sensitive-people/

In response to a confession. Not sure if it constitutes "talking" to the dead, but a few yrs ago I began getting messages that needed to be passed on. Started with an infant I was babysitting. She kept staring at the ceiling, laughing. Went home and thought about it and some things popped into my head. Next day I asked the parents if an older male had recently passed with the initials GG or GD. Turns out the infant's great-grandpa passed right before she was born, and he was so looking forward to her birth because she was the first girl in the family. His initials were indeed GD, but they all called him "GG Pop." Next was a waitress whose dad had passed from cancer, and then a woman who came in the office looking for a coworker. She wanted to thank CW for helping w her dh's funeral. I asked if his name was Richard (yes) and told her he watches her fold laundry in the basement. She started crying bc she'd felt someone watching her in the basement that day :) My fam gets embarrassed when I do this in public lol

Sometimes I really hate being an empath. My dh is in a shitty, depressed mood and I felt that shit before he even got home. It's good for giving me a deep understanding of a person, but mostly it's a constant struggle to keep from carrying around other people's emotional garbage.

I have never "talked" to the dead, but my grandpa was an entomologist when he was alive. He taught me all sorts of things about insects and got me really interested in butterflies. Sometimes when I'm feeling stressed out or scared, a butterfly will land on me. I honestly think it's my grandpa coming to visit me and give me a little bit of comfort.

I don't speak to the dead, but I've had psychic dreams about dead loved ones since I was a kid. Every time a person or pet dies, I dream that I'm with them. It usually takes a week or two after their death, but they always show up. I've also dreamed about hanging out with my spirit guides.

I am so excited to see this channel I don't know if this fits with it, but I am beyond fascinated with people who can speak to the dead. Does anyone have any experience with that? I would love to hear stories.....
