I miss my favorite Chinese buffet so much. They have great chicken wings and they have a make your own stir fry thing, which is my favorite. I make my stir fry super spicy and hot, with red chili garlic sauce, jalapeños and dried red Thai chilies. I’ll miss it so much if it never opens up

I'm also really sad about buffets possibly going away. One of my family's favorite places is a local Chinese buffet. I mean, we really LOVE this place - we go several times a month. A couple weeks ago I made the fam's favorites - black pepper chicken, rice noodles, fried rice and spring rolls. It's not the same, and it's too much work and nearly impossible to make my favorites (including pickled daikon and sesame seaweed salad). Waaaaa

My 10 yo out of nowhere: “When this quarantine is over, can we go to a buffet?”

My mom shared those "I miss my grandkids during this!" posts on FB. She hasn't actively tried to visit my kids for months. Whenever we do talk (even before this pandemic) it was "I'm going to pick you up!" and my kids would get excited but she never came. I got sick of their disappointment and just told her to tell me when she wants to get them. She never has. How are you going to miss the grandkids you only see during family events?

Do any of you know of anything to take for perimenopause symptoms? I am moody, irritable, gaining weight and tired as heck. I need help!

SIL and BIL are such f*cking morons. Both of them are unemployed with major health issues and they decide right now is a great time to have their first kid. Since they don't have insurance other than Medicaid, she has been only getting minimal prenatal visits and she's diabetic and will probably need more than that. Plus they are both mentally ill and can't afford their meds right now so THAT'S awesome. I guess it's my practical nature but damn, I do not understand people sometimes.

My kid's birthday is two weeks. It's hard to be a teenager on lockdown. I have a good kid who is usually only interested in clothes. I offered a room makeover. It's great to see my kid excited. I'm planning a nice birthday dinner and making a cake. We're also painting, and getting new bedding, and a rug. I admit- if this had happened when I was seventeen I would have been a pain in the butt. I have a good kid, and I'm sorry that this is how Junior year is ending.

Just sort of reminiscing...my parents did some shit that was SUPER dangerous when we were kids. I remember when I was 11 and we were on a road trip and our car broke down. My parents hitchhiked with all of us kids in some stranger's van to the nearest town. It was fine, but thinking back...holy crap was that dangerous.

Man, pooping alone without kids banging on the door sounds as good as a trip to the Bahamas right now
