Thanks for your update, OP! I am really glad to hear it's gotten a little better managing your binge eating. Sounds like you're just taking it day by day and maintaining. Yes, the app is helping me log my meals and even though I had to log in a few recent episodes, I am feeling much more on track this past week and in control. Sending you all the best with holidays!

You're really inspiring, OP! I hope to feel the lightness that I read in your post. Seriously, you go on with your bad self! Can I ask how did you start the process especially when it comes to beliefs and ideas? Thank you!

Hematologist is dragging her feet about a bone marrow biopsy so I’ve made an appointment with another. Canceled a shoulder surgery because it just didn’t feel right, and made some changes. Joined Weight Watchers, shopped for healthy food, started walking every day (up to half a mile a day, and that’s a HUGE deal for me), and I’m exercising 30 minutes a day. Blood sugar is back to normal, I feel better and I’ve lost three lbs.

I am really really sick of feeling nauseated every time I eat. I swear to christ if there was one food that would just give me all the nutrition I need and not make me feel sick- I would eat it. Even if it tasted like butt or shoes or cardboard.

I turned 40 back in January, and, lemme tell you, this year has been glorious. If there was one word to describe this year, it would be SHEDDING. I've shed so much this year and I ain't talking about hair. Ideas, beliefs, people, a job. If it doesn't add to my life in a positive way, I've removed it. Setting firm boundaries can get ugly, especially with people we love, but it's so incredibly worth it.

OP here, thanks for asking. My binge eating is still there, although it's gotten a little better ( if that makes sense). My weight loss has stalled because I don't have a ton to lose, so one binge or even a little over eating can wipe out my whole progress for the week. Haven't gained though, so I guess that's good. As you know, it doesn't get any easier around the holidays either. I hope the app is helping you, I'm going to download it ASAP. Hope you're doing good as well.

How is it going, OP? I have been on an emotional eating binge for the past month or so, but found a free app called Recovery Record that offers support for logging meals, journaling, meditation, and other coping skills and support. I'm hopeful that putting in the work will get me back on track.

I love that whenever my steaming hot cup of "I hate men" is running low, I can come here and you all remind me what tossers they are. It warms the cockles of my cold, dead heart.

I do think it's particularly vicious with girls, but I think there's gatekeepers who shit on you whatever you do...I'm in my 30s with a small horror review channel and I still get tons of old men commenting about how I'm not old enough to remember "real" horror even though I'm pretty sure most people in their 30s are familiar with classic horror. My husband also gets comments about being "too old" to be into geeky stuff, so we're both too old and too young lol. There definitely is a creepy aspect to it with teen girls though, I see so many old men shitting on K-Pop stars and being obsessed with why 15 year old girls are so into them, and whatever way you slice it, concerning yourself with who underage teens find attractive, is really fucking creepy.
