Aerial yoga class have been soul-nourishing, challenging, and fun. I get to let my inner child play. And, I love this teacher! I will really miss her classes when I move.

I hate that I have to accept gaining weight right now. I need to because of my health, but damn. I feel like if I gain weight, I won't be thin anymore. Stupid black and white thinking....in my brain, there is only skinny and obese. Why can't I drill it into my brain that there is a happy medium??

My runs are never this stressful, but today I encountered a jerk on his phone that letting his German Shepard charge at me twice. He pulled the dog leash back, but it still startled me. I started to curse him out, but realized he couldn't hear me while distracted on his phone. I had to shorten my jog to join an online event. Wow, the energy from class totally changed my attitude to one of gratefulness. Compassion, grief, vulnerability, and live music were shared among the group. This virtual space to not be okay really helped turned my morning around. Grateful for support & comfort in unexpected places.

You said it upfront - you are anxious and depressed. I know you don't feel like you have the time, but you have got to make seeing a professional your number 1 priority. Skip a day of work, have the kids miss their piano lessons for the week, whatever is takes, go see someone who can help you manage your anxiety. It is going to change your life.

If you "appear normal" but struggle to function, you really are totally fucked. My brother was in a car crash and has been left with severe pain and mobility issues, but because he's not wheelchair bound (yet) he is still expected to be out there working himself to the bone...he does manual work too. I have multiple mental disorders and autism and I struggle to talk to cashiers in a shop for two minutes or drive 10 minutes from my home, let alone work full time. Both of us are in this awkward position where we can technically work full-time but doing so is causing us so much pain. It's not like I want to sit on my ass for the rest of my life, but I need a flexible schedule and a breather to figure out a way to support myself that doesn't ruin me. There has to be a better way to structure society, because this is totally inhumane. It seems like regular healthy people are cracking under the strain, and many of us are not healthy for one reason or another.

I am overwhelmed and anxious and depressed. I wish there was anybody in the world who gave a shit about what I'm feeling. Or wanted to listen to me talk about things. Or cared at all what I'm going through. There's too much work at work, then I get home and there's too much work there too. The work is never-ending. I can't sleep at night because there's too much to do. I can't relax because I can't stop doing things, or thinking about all the things I need to do next, or feeling guilty about doing nothing because there's just so much to fucking do. It's always on my mind, there is never a moment when my brain isn't on overdrive. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. If there were, it would probably be a train.

I haven't done any yoga in about a week now. I have been focused on other things in the morning. And now I feel pretty awful in general. I feel stiff and sore, my whole body (and my face) feel puffy and bloated and .. not cute...
