Poor dh, such bad luck with people on the phone today. He took out a loan for our trip to visit his family over Christmas and set it up so the payment automatically came out of his check (he's military) so we didn't have to worry about paying it. Well something happened and they only got half of the payment for April. Someone called him this morning and he told them he couldn't talk to them right now because they were about to make him late for formation. It's a company that only loans out to service members, idk why they would even call at that time. The guy swore at him! As dh was hanging up the guy said "well don't put this on the fucking backburner!" So he gets home and looks at his mypay to see what's wrong and decides to just delete it all and start over since something was wrong with the one he set up. We called to get the information and the lady there demanded the other half of the payment before she would give him any information. He told her he couldn't make the payment at this time but wanted to fix the allotment issue. She grilled him as to why he couldn't pay right now. Threatened that if we didn't pay by may 1 that his info would get sent to collection and he said "ok..." And she got all pissy about how he didn't sound scared. What's he going to do? Beg her not to? We're convinced it's their fault the payment got messed up but are trying to fix it and they are trying to intimidate and scare him into doing what they want?

The base DH works at went into lockdown over a (false) presumed shooter. So scary. The whole time all I could do was wonder if the kiss he gave me at lunch time would be our last. I never want those kind of feelings again.

I don't care what you think, why do you care what I think? I'll say what I want and if you don't like it, then that's cool too! It makes no difference! And if I don't like you, that doesn't mean you're a bad person it just means I don't like you! Don't try to convince me to like you, that will only serve to annoy me and I will like you even less. I dunno, maybe I have some social disorder. Definitely introverted. I just have no give-a-shit.

Instead of using leftover ham in a ham and scalloped potatoes casserole (ICK!) or ham and beans (YUCK!), I made ham salad. After cleaning up the kitchen and the ham salad sat in the fridge for a couple hours, I decided to taste it. It's SO freaking salty that there's no way we're going to eat that!

I kinda feel like I'm one of those 'beautiful' women. I wasn't beautiful when I was a young girl, though. It didn't 'hit' until I was in my mid-twenties. But I admit: I really, really like me. I like the way I look. Others seem to as well. But now that I'm getting a little older I can't help but wonder if I wouldn't be quite so upset about the little lines and wrinkles if I wasn't so attached to the way I look. But I am. In my head, I look like a blonde Angelina Jolie, only shorter with more rounded features. Not quite so angular. Every morning I look in the mirror and think, "Why hello. gorgeous!" LOL!

My throat hurts and I am sick. I don't want to have a conversation or even talk. I just want to sip tea and make it better so why is it that when I want to stay quiet everyone in the damn house comes to me with questions?

Just because it is a joke doesn't mean you have to laugh. It is stupid to be accused of not having a sense of humor when the joke isn't funny or totally disrespectful. A coworker told a joke I thought to be sick and others awkwardly laughed but I didn't. He turned to me and tried to explain the joke but I got it but didn't find it funny at all (it was a rape joke). He then accused me of not having a sense of humor and being too sensitive and PC when I explained that I didn't find rape jokes that funny and how I wouldn't laugh just because others did. There is no reasoning with someone like that so I just stated I didn't find him funny and he couldn't tell a normal joke to save his life.

I was one of those "beautiful women" but I'm older now. One of the things I learned is that there is nothing less attractive than complaining about it. You would not rather be just average. Being pretty has some disadvantages, but you would never trade. Of course you could, but you wouldn't.
