I have an old patio set I inherited from my parents. My parents got it when I was about my son's age, so it's probably 35 years old. You know the kind with the vinyl straps? That kind. They had it powder coated and repainted one time. That was I don't know how long ago. Last summer one or two of the straps broke, so I put cushions on them. Well this year that isn't going to cut it. Four more straps are broken. I've looked at the cost of new patio sets and the cost of having the chairs re strapped. I finally found an online store that will sell me a kit to repair it myself for $169 dollars. The paint on this set still looks good, because it was powder coated. Every decent patio set I've looked at is more than a thousand dollars, and I don't think any of them are going to last 35 years. I think I can do it. Wish me luck!
