For the love of God, stop replying to all on emails. If the company sends an email to all 700+ employees reminding them to make a minor adjustment on timesheets due to the holiday, please do not reply to all 700+ employees just to say you made the change. How do people not know this? Seriously. And this is a professional cybersecurity company, so everyone is at a professional, college-educated level. It's not like it's a bunch of teenagers working their first job.

Before anyone starts berating teachers, just think about the fact that at any moment, at their job which is full of bureaucracy, red tape, tied hands (metaphorically), a hundred bosses (every parent thinks they are the boss, along with administration AND school boards).... just think about all that, the fact that the pay is mediocre at best, and the cherry on top is that at any moment, one of your students could just show up with an assault weapon and mow down anyone that gets in their path. Like what happened in Michigan yesterday, for like the 650th time this year alone. It's a shit job that nobody wants to do anymore. Can you blame them? I can't.

Why is my anxiety always sky high at the end of school breaks? It's not even the idea of going back to school. I think it's more the fact that I'm sick of being at home and feel like I'm wasting my time. I know it doesn't make sense but I wish today was over.

If you're flying during the holidays, please be kind to your flight attendants. This industry is based on seniority, so junior FAs don't have a choice to be off and home. We miss time with our families so we can get you to yours. And PLEASE wear your masks. Please don't pull the "But I'm EaTiNg (your bag of sunflower seeds, one at a time)!" We actually had a 50-year-old man trying to skirt the issue by sucking on a lollipop! Because what you don't know is that passengers will take photos of other passengers without their masks on (they put them on when they see us coming down the aisle), then Tweet the photo to the airline with the flight number. Then the crew gets reprimanded for "not following the mandate." Writing reports on our off time after a 14-hour day is not what we want to be doing. Thank you

Yesterday I ate a big bowl of leftover chili for lunch. By 230 I had to fart so I did, as I was alone in the office. Let on rip really loudly. Totally forgot about the paper thin walls and the fact that there is another office in this building, right behind mine. So the guy in the neighboring office was likely serenaded by a really loud chili fart. Not only that but I didn't put the lid all the way on my empty chili container. I didn't notice and now all my food for today is in containers that have chili leavins all over them. My whole lunch bag smells of chili. And is sticky. So how's YOUR day going?

As someone who has worked in patient care and administration, I don't know which abuse is worse lol. But yes, let Gen Z handle the Boomers, as they should. I hope you love your new position. At the very least you can rest assured you won't be pooped on. So there's THAT. Haha

I did it! Finally secured a position that has zero patient care! Never had an admin job before, and I'm a little intimidated, but soooo excited to not be abused anymore by a-hole patients. I loved nursing; I devoted my entire adult life to caring for others, but I'm done. This generation of elders broke me. I miss the cranky WWII vets. I'm gonna let the Gen Z nurses handle the boomers. I'm out.
