I think it's refreshing when people are honest about wanting a boy or girl. As long as it's not a weird, toxic thing. I think it's a totally normal. People just don't talk about it. Reminds me of the Pregnant Women are Smug song lol.

I'm the one who has two girls and said I'd be disappointed if I had boys. I like make-up and stuff too, but I also LOVE football and sports. But I still don't want boys. They have every bit as much drama as girls. Funny thing is that my girls are even really that girly. I also read the things here and know how I am and have been treated by men my whole life, and I kind of don't want to raise someone like that. I know I could use it ass an opportunity to raise better men, but I don't think it's that simple. Societal messages are hard to out parent. There was an article written by a trans man who said he was completely shocked to learn how men talk and behave when no one was around. The Locker room talk, the jokes, showing friends nudes that were meant to be private. Even the "good" ones laughed along or at the very least, didn't speak up. I'd have a hard time respecting my son knowing he probably did that too, at least at some point.

It's interesting to see how different we all are. I didn't know my baby's sex until they were born. I had a boy. Even though I'm really into fashion and makeup, I'm also into skateboarding and surfing, so I was happy. I don't see myself as a "girl mom." I have two stepdaughters and they irritate the heck out of me with their drama.

I'm the OP...I mean, I get it. But at the same time, my dad really wanted me to be a boy and I wasn't. It didn't stop him from teaching me to fix cars and help do home repairs and that sort of thing. I dunno. Maybe I'm just easy to please but I think both boys and girls are fun in their own ways.

I have two girls. Not going to lie, I would have been really disappointed if I had boys.

Maybe some gender disappointment going on there? I won't lie, I was disappointed at first too when they told me my second and last would be a boy. I had dreams of dressing up and tea parties and princesses and things. Not that boys don't do that stuff sometimes, but it's different. It didn't take long to get past, but it's definitely a real thing.

My CW is expecting a baby boy and she's like, pissed off about it. I don't understand why people care so much. Gender really doesn't mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things. There are good boys, good girls, bad boys and bad girls. I feel like blaming your kid's gender for things is kind of a cop-out.

This is mine. Remember how stepmom said she'd be pissed if DS brought COVID into the house? Well stepmom went to a party with friends last week, and one of the friends tested positive two days later. Now they're quarantined, DS can't go there and his dad can't go to work until they get their test results back.

I can't stand my step kids. They are adults but they are super whiny, self-entitled and spoiled selfish man babies.

My MIL bought DS a Razor Crest Lego set from a third party on Amazon for double the retail, which... whatever. But it gets here and the seller had opened the bags and removed the main characters (Mandalorian and Baby Yoda) and now have them listed on Amazon for $65 each. SMH. People just have no shame, do they?
