For about a year I've wanted this diffuser that I saw online but it's very expensive. I recently gave in and purchased it along with a starter kit of essential oils that go in it. I'm so disappointed that I spent that money. It's really pretty and it's suppose to be healthier to diffuse oils than burn candles, but so far I don't like any of the oil smells. Also it's not practical for me to have to deal with all of the parts to the diffuser to wash and store and then all of the bottles of oils. It's confusing to know what to do with each one of the oils and how to mix them, etc. I'm not patient enough for that. Ugh, what a stupid, ridiculous waste of money.

Oh yes, MANY of them. Hair loss, random skin rashes, lots of indicators of autoimmune disease or something. But with no insurance, I know I can't afford to have a bunch of guesswork testing done, much less treatments. So I just deal with it as best I can.

I have Tricare, so nothing is out of pocket. I just hate going to the Dr. Toe fungus, been dealing with it for 2yrs. When I told my dr, he gave me nothing, told me to go to a foot dr. So what did I do? Took my toenail off and use OTC Neosporin antibiotic every day until the nail grows back. Fungus is gone. Taking the nail off was hard, I had to use an electric file and sand it off in sections.

I don't avoid going to the doctor for financial reasons. I have insurance and financially am doing OK. But I do avoid going to the doctor because they're just going to tell me to lose weight and dismiss my complaints as me being a woman and obviously just being dramatic. I swear I could go to the doctor with a gunshot wound to the head, and they would just tell me to lose weight. Or tell me it's just my period.

I can't be alone in this....does anyone else have a niggling little medical problem (like, say, toenail fungus or something) that you just won't tell your doctor about because you're afraid you won't be able to afford the actual treatment? Inquiring minds want to know, especially if you also have a high deductible plan with crappy co-insurance after you meet it.

I think I'm going to do it--shave all my stupid hair off. It's so fine now that it looks ridiculous. I swear my hormones are going wonky now that I'm approaching 40 and I kind of want to just shave all my actual hair and wear wigs.

Sad that a grown-ass woman would really believe that there is a magic pill to lose weight.

I get so frustrated with my dad's wife. She asks me constantly about which supplements to take to lose weight. I have to be honest with her and tell her there AREN'T ANY. The ones out there that have claims do a few things: decrease your appetite a little, speed up your heart rate, give you horrific diarrhea, or are diuretic and make you lose water weight. Bottom line=you can't just add supplements and expect to lose any weight unless you actually are changing your eating plan. I wish more people understood that.
