I am not a big fan of my InstaPot, but the only reason I keep it is because that thing hard boils eggs like a boss. Perfect every time, and the shells never stick. I don't know how it works, but it does.

Is there anything better than a perfectly cooked hard boiled egg? With a little course ground salt? Is there? No, no there isn't. Especially with some hot black coffee.

This resonates with me so much. I know so many Gen X guys, who are smug, lame, mediocre to below average white dudes, who've never been told to shut up. I've posted before about my annoying cousin, who will steal posts from Twitter or Tumblr and post them as his own. He's Gen X and loves to talk shit about millennials and Z. He must be jealous, considering he's constantly stalking their accounts so he can rip off their jokes. It makes me cringe, it's so painfully lame.

I'm really struggling to find a hair product that works for me. I have fine (Caucasian) hair with a pretty significant curl pattern and I just want something that's gonna have hold - so my curls don't collapse during the day, frizz control, and add shine. WITHOUT making my hair look greasy or weighing it down. I tried aussie 'miracle' curl cream and my hair is just beyond fixing today. It's too short to pull back so I have big greasy-looking loops. And my hair is pretty short so it's literally sticking straight out from my head in certain spots. Got it tucked behind my ears trying to get it to at least lay down. Lort. Maybe I'll just let it grow out long again. At least then I could put it up or braid it.

I've been trying to focus on gaining weight but since I'm so underweight right now, my weight all goes to weird spots when I gain it. I know I need to just push through it and it'll redistribute but man, this sucks so bad.

I don't think men will ever willing give up any aspect of their position of societal dominance. They have always enjoyed it, it has always benefited them, and I don't think any man truly sees woman as their equal as a human being. They will always believe in their superiority because they are mostly stronger and bigger. I think as women we should just not depend on them, or expect better from them, for anything. Murderers, rapists, etc are mostly men. That is not going to change because those things are wrong.

*Shower thoughts* I feel like millennials and gen z get too much hate. In my opinion, gen x men are the absolute worst. They are the ones who initially created a hostile environment online for women. They are the ones who say shit like "feminazi" and "not all men." They are a huge part of the "well actually" crowd (although, they in no way created mansplaining). They saw how their boomer fathers benefited from a world that kept women subservient and are angry that gen x women were raised to not tolerate that shit. When I think of men that just piss me, a millennial woman, off, they are always gen x. My gen x husband agrees and says it's why he doesn't have a lot of guy friends his age.

I've gained twenty pounds over the last couple years and gone from a B cup to a large D. I've been eating well and working out. I lose inches, but my weight stays the same. Finally, I googled "how much do size D breasts weigh?" It's 16-20 pounds! Or, as google so lovingly puts it, "the size of two small turkeys." I'm not fat; I've just got two turkeys on my chest!

I really wish there were more ideas about how to do cheap meatless/vegan meals. As in, not ones that use a bunch of those fake meats and vegan cheeses and stuff like that. I make a really good vegan chili that's super cheap that I make with bulgur and pumpkin and smoked anchos, but so many people think going vegan is expensive probably because so much of the fake meat/dairy is pricey.

I worry about the cost of tests, but not treatment. I do tell my doctor everything, though, in case there is a potential for something serious I'm not seeing. Like toe nail fungus is way more likely in diabetics, mentioning that might make them want to check your A1C. So far, any time a treatment has been out of budget for me, the doctor has a suggestion for a holistic approach, or a cheaper treatment, or suddenly 'finds' a bunch of free samples. I think most doctors (at least in the areas I have lived in) understand the high cost of health care, and are willing to work to make sure their patients get treatment.
