I feel sad today. My kids are getting older and I feel them slipping away. My BFF from HS- her mom is sick, hospice sick. My house is trashed because my DH does NOT help me at all. I'm the sole breadwinner and I also- if I want a clean house- have to do most of the housework. And it won't seem to quit raining.

I don't buy bread, I make it. It's pretty easy.

I have never baked bread before. I totally need to, I love how it smelled when my grandma used to make it.

The real reason why my husband and I ran off to Hawaii to get married wasn't just because of the price of holding a wedding at home with everyone there. It's just that my family tends to want to be th center of attention to EVERYTHING. Every graduation is compared to theirs, every wedding as well. It is just easier to have something away from everyone and not have to deal with narcissistic behavior. I had a wonderful day that was centered on just my husband and I. I didn't want to feel guilty for having attention placed on me and having to deal with family drama and all of the old rehashing of crap. Its not their occasion, for once it was about my husband and I. I know people will call me selfish for not having everyone there. I know that but then again feeling forced to deal with our families drama is just as selfish, especially in light of the fact that we would have to pay to facilitate everyone's selfishness.

I've been so busy over the last two days that I never got my giant chocolate chip cookie made for bf's birthday. Instead, I stopped at the cupcake shop and bought a box for him. So sweet of me, right? It'll be homemade next time. :)

I decline invitations from a couple of good friends because there is no safe way to their home from mine at night. One lives in a bad neighborhood where I don't even like to get out of my car to walk into their house. I don't want to offend them, so I just decline. I don't mind going there in the daytime. We can meet somewhere for lunch or dinner or they can come to my house. I just want to stay safe when out alone at night.

I decided to bake bread, but I didn't have quite enough flour. I just used what I had and I'm hoping it turns out halfway decent. Whatever--it's not like I'm going to not eat it if doesn't work out right anyway.

Oops! Meant to make this a separate "confession". ---To the anonymous confessor...I don't take offense, I appreciate the input! I'm sorry to say that I am not educated in such matters and thank you for shedding some light on what was initially a very creepy comment. Far be it from me to put anyone down for their beliefs but it is not my own so I feel confident I can come back in November 2015 and post a happy face! ;)

So we all know about the guests that do not RSVP right? Well I have a friend that ALWAYS declines my invites. I've invited her to many things; house party, dinner party, birthday party!, bbq, game night..and I'm always getting denied. I go to her things 90% of the time but never comes to my gatherings. She can't be jealous of me. she has beautiful home, good food, good turnouts. And I've asked her about it but she just says she always has other plans. Well in that case no more invites from me.

To the person below. The old man was talking about the idea that the next 4 blood moons all fall on Jewish holidays and to some people signify the possibilities of the end of the world. You can look it up online and read about it. I really don't like offensive opinions when not necessary or with people's religious beliefs, so I hope this doesn't lead to it.
