PSA: Your kid is not the only kid. Other people also have kids. Kids with leukemia, kids with mental health disorders who have been struggling more than normal because of Covidiots dragging this out longer than it needed to be, kids with immune function issues. Also, where is the evidence of "so many kids having issues" with the vaccine?

I'm in Austin, TX, where our jackass governor has passed legislation expressly forbidding cities and schools from mandating masks, no matter what their local numbers are. We now only have 10 ICU beds available in the entire 11 county Central Texas region of 2.3 million people. TEN. Oh, and school starts next week. And no virtual school this year because he refused to fund it.

Well, here we go. We had four covid cases last week. FOUR. We now have seventy. And counting. Our ICU is full. Our walk-in clinics are slammed with patients needing covid testing again. I have an interview for an admin job next week, but there's a chance they won't let me transfer because we're short staffed. Also, fwiw, the vast majority of these cases are patients who refused the vaccine, who now want the vaccine, like it's some magical cure. I'm out. I'm not doing this again.

The OP said anyone eligible, that means people old enough to get the vaccine and who don't have medical conditions preventing them from getting the vaccine, which is very few people in the grans scheme of things, BTW. The vaccine is a hell of a lot safer than COVID. That is a scientific fact supported by actual data, not an opinion. Please post the data that shows "so many kids having issues with it." Over 600K people in the US (over 4 million worldwide) have died from COVID so far. How many has the vaccine killed?

That is definitely not the answer. What about kids or immune compromised individuals? People with allergies? Or people who are simply afraid and waiting for more research before taking the vaccine? Not everyone is a crazy antivaxxer. While I am vaxxed, my kids will not be taking it at this time due to so many kids having issues with it. Your opinion is not the way to go. Not at all.

Anyone eligible person who shows up sick at the ER should have to show their vaccine card. If they don't, then they should be denied care. You can't flip off the medical community and then come crawling to them when you get sick.

I don't understand why people who don't trust the shot even seek medical care when they get sick. If you don't trust the medical community and FDA when they advise you to get the shot, why do you trust the medical community to treat COVID? They use FDA approved drugs, many in ways that was not approved by the FDA. I honestly don't understand. Either you trust the medical community or you don't.

"I think it's selfish to force people to risk their lives because of your fear." But you think it's OK if your fear is fear of the vaccine?

Yes, vaccinated people can spread Covid, but don't get it twisted. I was vaccinated last March and didn't even go into a grocery store until two weeks later. I was in my house for almost a year. Since then I have gone shopping once a week but have only been unmasked indoors three times in restaurants. Once Delta popped up, that stopped. Until recently I had more compassion for people who didn't want to get vaccinated, but I am running out of patience. We're all tired of this. I don't hope the unvaccinated die. I hope they become vaccinated.

No one knows the long term effects of the covid shot. I think it's selfish to force people to risk their lives because of your fear. The people who cause this round of Covid are the vaccinated. Once people got vaccinated, they stopped wearing their masks so they started spreading it around. There are vaxxed people saying "I took the shot to protect others" then in the same breath "I hope the unvaxxed die". They sound so stupid contradicting themselves. You either care about people or you don't. That's like saying you're pro life but want people who get abortions to die. Well then you're not pro life. So full of hate and anger. Sounds more like mental problems.
