A fetus is not a baby. Hence the reason it's called a fetus. It doesn't have a heaertbeat, and it doesn't have a brain. That "heartbeat" is an electrical current that causes some cells to flutter. That's what you see on ultrasound. BTW, it can't be heard, because it's not really a heartbeat. The sound you may hear is actually a sound effect added by the ultrasound machine. It's not coming from the fetus or cells fluttering. Scientists can and have created the same visible "heartbeat" in a petri dish. Kind of hard to have a heartbeat when there's no heart. Abortion doesn't kill a person because a fetus is not a person.

I really don't get the point of this post. No, Afghanistan wasn't a US problem...the rest of the world KNEW this before the military went barging in and made it their problem, then decided to wash their hands of the problem because they were too lazy/cheap to try and do the clean up work. Pretty well. I was able to easily get my COVID vaccine. I'm getting a child tax credit. The infrastructure bill was finally passsed. Federal employees and contractors are now paid a minimum of $15/hour. Undocumented immigrants were counted on the census, which means is a heck of a lot more accurate. He issued an executive order banning discrimination against members of the LGBTQ community and women by federal agencies, meaning doctors can't discriminate against me because of my gender anymore. He stopped paying for that ridiculous border wall that cost a fortune and did nothing. You want me to keep going? Now if my asshole governor (Texas) would go away, life would be good.

It's working a fuck ton better than it would have been with that disgusting piece of human garbage that was in office before him.

Called mom to tell her about my grandma's recent fall. She quickly changes the subject to the Afghanistan situation, cries, cusses at me, flips me off because I voted for Biden. I kept calm because I knew for a fact she was drunk, I didn't tell her about the 5,000 Taliban soldiers released last year or the deals that were made under the former administration because she wasn't in the head space to even listen. "Call me when you're sober and calm." She hangs up on me and is now on FB giving a tirade and putting up "Bring back Trump" posts. She keeps sending me emotional tiktoks. Maybe it's time to distance myself from the circus.
