Around here, like many other places, healthcare workers have a limited amount of time to get the vaxx, or they lose there job. Some of these people have been in these excellent high paying jobs for a long time and are just willing to walk away. I don't get it. It's not like they can get another job, the vaxx mandate will be there too. Not sure what they are thinking they will do. if I was their spouse I would be pissed that they just assume they will be financially supported. Jesus.

I went to the women's march this past weekend. Best sign I saw: "I bet you one unplanned pregnancy that you are secretly pro-choice." BINGO! I used to volunteer at a clinic that pereformed abortions. I can't even begin to tell you how many "pro-life" women came in for an abortion, some even telling the doctor and staff that what we did was wrong. But their abortion was always different.

My MIL got on a plane yesterday. With a fever. Didn't bother to COVID test bc she didn't want to risk having to change her plans. I'm disgusted. My husband is defending her, saying "if masks work then it won't matter." It definitely does matter! Think of how you would feel if someone did that and your kids got sick! Think of all the people she just potentially exposed! People like her are the reason this isn't gone yet. This whole pandemic has made me realize just how much he and I are not compatible. It's eye opening and sickening.

The UK police are now telling women basically to resist arrest if they suspect an officer might be a sexual predator. Seriously. They are blaming a woman who was raped and murdered by a police officer because she didn't know better than to, I guess, not resist arrest? Because they can't weed out the so-called "bad apples" in their midst apparently, even if the officer in question was given the nickname "The Rapist" by colleagues because he was such a creep. What happened is disgusting, but it looks like we're getting the police brutality misogyny edition, and it is long, *long* overdue.

Pretty sure my kids' school district will drop mask mandates soon bc parents are in an uproar about it. Probably the same parents that send their kids to school sick and think there's some kind of medal for going to work sick, too. The irony is we wouldn't even have to have masks to begin with if everyone washed their hands, covered their mouth and nose when sneezing and coughing (and washed their hands again), stayed tf out of people's personal space (WHY do you need to be closer than 6ft?!) And stayed home when sick. Not rocket science, just regular science. "Don't tread on me!" Well, practice common courtesy, Karen. Fuck.

IDK if anyone is following the Gabby Petito case, but I will be referencing the bodycam footage next time I hear some incel asshole whine about how women always have the upper hand during domestic violence complaints. Any fucking idiot could see that girl was terrorized, she was constantly apologizing for her behaviour, not to mention the 911 caller said the man hit the woman and it was the man going three times the speed limit, but the police turn it around so she's the aggressor. Even the language, "Oh, he grabbed her face to avoid hitting her because he knew he'd get in trouble," type of language. What a fucking joke. Any trust I had left in the police has now been eroded, not that there was much there.
