
I think this is a really immature way of looking at it. Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my prior post. Science is now so specialised that we apparently think that everybody needs to be educated on everything. I work in a research lab and my OH is an emergency doctor, and you would be shocked at the amount of time he spends on research because he's expected to know everything about everything. Now we're asking fucking gynecologists, anesthesiologists and everyone in between to become virologists. "They don't know enough about science or medicine" is honestly just such a ridiculous and naive statement and I assume you don't work in a scientific field making comments like that. The research about the "side effects" is like a year old, obviously there's not going to be anything concrete, we know nothing about drugs we've been using for decades. So yes, you're right, you don't understand and you sound as stupid and rabid as the people you're criticising.
