In response to a confession. I'm a flight attendant, and this pisses me off! Along with other people (employees included) who either won't get the vax or have fake vax cards. We hand out sanitizing wipes during boarding and I can't tell you how many people don't take them, or do and then we find them unopened on the floor or in the seat pocket. I take this seriously. My hands are a mess from the constant sanitizing and washing, and I'm so tired of people who can't keep their masks on for a few hours (or less) when we are wearing them 8-14 hours a day.

In response to a confession. True! The other night, one of my kids and I were talking about the Nick shows they watched growing up, and who stayed in showbiz/became famous. There was an actor on Victorious (where Ariana Grande got her start) who played a total nerd. I often wondered if he would have the same fate as Screech from Saved by the Bell, only being cast in similar roles. But nope - he has grown up to be quite the handsome young man and has had consistent work.

I'm a Democrat living in rural MAGA country. Less than 50% of people here are vaccinated. We've been in a bubble here, it hasn't hit too bad. But now it's starting to. Last weekend a client at my job died of covid. He wasn't vaccinated. He was my age. His kids are about the same age as mine. And it took everything I had in me, to just sign my name to the card. I wanted to write that I hope you all will get vaccinated now. (His family) And that a FREE vaccination that would have maybe made him sick for a couple days would have given him the chance to walk his daughter down the aisle, meet any future grandkids and just BE THERE. And not be dead. But he's dead. And he basically suffocated TO DEATH all alone in a hospital bed surrounded by strangers. It's so senseless and tragic.

I'm sick of the Royals, I'm sick of the fucking uber rich lecturing us all the time. Her family are the ones that created this fucking disgustingly unequal sexist, racist, ableist society by breaking the fucking backs of everyone in your country, then eventually all the countries colonized by the UK. Now we get the finger wagging from Prince Harry taking his private jet to tell us all to lower our carbon footprint and the Duchess is whining about respecting the women while Prince Rapey gets off Scot free.

Joe Biden needs to grow a set and start issuing some executive orders. First order of business should be ending the filibuster. It is complete bullshit that a group of people that represents a minority of the US population gets to dictate the entire direction of the country, even though MOST of the country's population doesn't agree with them. Unless a voting bill gets past, it's very possible that popular vote will NOT win a presidential election ever again. And it needs to be done quickly or it will be too late.

Nurses trusting internet researchers instead of the actual researchers are saying, "We don't really trust the scientific process." And that's scary. These same people who refuse the vaccine have no issue administering and taking other medications that are new every, single day. No one expects "fucking gynecologists and anesthesiologists and everyone in between to become virologists." We expect them to trust the actual virologists like they do every other speciality. Instead they trust people with no scientific training whatsoever because they read it on the internet.

In response to a confession. I think this is a really immature way of looking at it. Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my prior post. Science is now so specialised that we apparently think that everybody needs to be educated on everything. I work in a research lab and my OH is an emergency doctor, and you would be shocked at the amount of time he spends on research because he's expected to know everything about everything. Now we're asking fucking gynecologists, anesthesiologists and everyone in between to become virologists. "They don't know enough about science or medicine" is honestly just such a ridiculous and naive statement and I assume you don't work in a scientific field making comments like that. The research about the "side effects" is like a year old, obviously there's not going to be anything concrete, we know nothing about drugs we've been using for decades. So yes, you're right, you don't understand and you sound as stupid and rabid as the people you're criticising.
