I'm not much of a "doter". I don't compliment my DH all the time and fawn all over him and stuff like that. Suffice it to say, I'm really not a very sexy person, even though I've been told I'm fairly attractive. I kind of wish I was more "mushy/lovey-dovey", but it really just isn't me. Thank goodness my DH is okay with that, but I'm sure he'd probably like me to be a little more like his friend's DW who is much more affectionate than I am.

OK, DH, I get it that dog puke make you queasy. But for the love of God, do we need the whole gagging and throw up noises EVERY.SINGLE.TIME??? She's an old dog, sometimes she eats too fast and it happens. And every time you pull your gagtastic shit, I want to knock ya upside your head.

It's ironic that as women we are socialized to not want (or show we want) "too much" from a man we are dating (i.e. Don't make it obvious you are in love, or want to marry, etc), and I've just lost someone because I don't want enough. He wants all of me, and I don't plan to marry him but I want to keep dating. He "isn't getting any younger" (his words, late 40s) and wants to move on with someone he can spend the rest of his life with. It makes perfect sense, but still ironic. (And the breakup hurts)

My boyfriend is driving me bonkers he keeps acting like an illness pro. A couple of weeks ago I went to the dr to see if I had strep because my throat really hurt and I didn't want ds to catch it if I did. I felt super miserable. He tells me I can't possibly have strep because when he had strep all he did was sleep the first couple of days. I have had strep in the past and do not have that reaction unless it's a particularly bad case. I'm sick again as he's getting over something he probably caught from me from when I was sick for about 2weeks ago(not sure if I caught it from him or ds since ds just started showing signs of a cold yesterday). I mentioned having a headache and he's like "just to warn you, if you have what I have the headaches are killer" I had to remind him he caught his thing from me, so if I got it back from him I already know all the symptoms. He also seems to keep forgetting I have a young son... I can't just sleep all day after work or on the weekends...

I get that you want your husband to listen to you but honestly, it does sound kind of bratty to complain about the type of chocolates you get on Valentine's Day. Does he listen to you otherwise? Or is this just one more example of how he doesn't listen to you? I'd be curious.

As I grow older, I actually have things I hide in my email - never believed I'd be that person. Flirtations with others ... maybe it's a mid-life crisis. I love dh and don't want to leave him and our son - especially our son, and I am not an adrenaline freak. But the attention and excitement of these flirtations has become an addiction for me

I hear you. I ended something (trying to - he makes it easy to draw this out) after only about 4 months - unreconcilable differences haha - and it is SO hard, day to day. He isn't even great for me and it's hard. It was such a short time, and it's hard ... I am trying L-thenine - something like that from green tea - trying to up my mood. Doesn't seem to help. Not to hijack your post. I miss my guy, but in my case it's the attention, and I know it. :(

I am going through a huge funk. I broke up with someone in December and am still not over it. This breakup has been even harder than the end of my marriage. I have tried meeting new guys since the breakup, but all I can think about his him. This is why I don't even want to fall in love again. It's just too hard.

I guess I never thought much about email spying. DH leaves his email open all the time. All he ever gets are emails from auction sites like ebay notifying him of new listings. Sometimes he gets responses from Craigslist ads for when he sells the odd part or tool. I guess I would be worried if he was really paranoid about me knowing his email password. I don't snoop through his stuff, but he trusts me enough to not need to protect things from me.

Someone woke up a cranky pants. Not that I blame him with the work schedule... but still, I hope he doesn't expect me to go to his appt with him! I just got back from mine... 31 needles in the skull for migraines. NOT in the mood. I want lunch and my DVR show with no interruptions.
