I'm getting so frustrated. I applied to so many jobs and have heard back from a number of them telling me the job was no longer available/filled. Then TAKE THE POSTING DOWN. Duh.

My program director gets annoyed at a co-worker because she always sits in program director's office and talks...all day long. So the program director just listens and then complains later. She has never told her to just leave her be so she could work! They have been working together like this for more than 20 years.

In response to a confession. Yellowsplainer? Did I actually read that? JFC, racism really is back in full force in this country.

The scratchy, bitey kid was transferred to a moderate/severe special day class for students with autism. He was trying to escape 3 or 4 times a day. It was dangerous. I hope he's happier and safer in his new class. After all that, I'm going to miss him!

It's sad when I take a day off of work because I'm sick...and use that day to catch up on work.

In response to a confession. Give me a break- it is not confusing. Whitesplaining is when a white person "explains" racism to a person of color. It's like when a man explains feminism to you or tells you everything women "should do," taking over a conversation you started, speaking for you, and derailing your point, taking up all the air. Do you like that? No. I love how whenever someone even mentions this it's "divisive." LOL, who will protect the white people?!?

Whitesplainer sounds like a derogative term. Is it PC to say it? How about Blacksplainer? Or Yellow or Brownsplainer? Do we really need more divisiveness? How about Trumpsplainer? Hillarysplainer? Are those OK because they only demean political party representatives and not the color of the persons, who in this case are both white? Maybe Berniesplainer would have worked, but is that another name for Jewsplainer? So confusing.

I’m in a weird place career wise. I’m a SAHM now. When I go back to work my income will be low for two years. Basically I’ll pay for daycare plus DH travels for work so any sick kids/school breaks fall to me to handle. If I wait even 1 year, the $$ we’d pay for daycare would be about 90% less because I’d literally only need before school care. I’m hoping to find part-time in my field, but haven’t yet. My question is, what would you do? I’m on the fence. One hand I’m thinking take a job, get in the door. The other hand, I adore this time with my kids. I’m a true crazy person who loves our time together and I don’t for a second take it for granted and why pay someone when I can be there for them. (DH doesn’t care either way, he appreciates me home and also wants me to succeed in my field)

Why can't job posters put the hours in the job posting instead of springing them on you at the interview? It would have been nice to know that the job I interviewed for was 2nd and 3rd shift, alternating. All I want is a job where I work during the day, 5 days a week. Is that so much to ask?
