My internship interview went so well! Oh man, I really hope I get this position. I would get to do field work all summer and gain experience writing permits and talking to farmers about how they can minimize their environmental impacts.

Woohoo! 2 interviews next week. I've come to the realization that I no longer love going to work. My boss and her boss are making it a toxic place and a handful of my favorite coworkers are leaving or have left or have reduced their available hours. The 2 jobs I'll be interviewing for pay about twice as much as I currently make and are both on the top 100 places to work (though my current company is too) and have good benefits. I kind of want to stay on as super part time (some people work like twice a month) for the perks though.

I don't want for spring break to end! :(

OMG. I got an internship interview for a position I really want with the DNR. Please, please please let me get this! I need those state bennies.

Door to door salespeople still exist?

I had an interview today and holy crap, it was so shady! The guy didn't really tell me much about the job, other than that I would not get benefits and would be working on commission selling equipment door to door. It was so not what I was expecting based on the job description. I am bummed because I was hoping it was going to be a good fit. I just don't know if I would feel comfortable going to people's houses. I feel like if people want this equipment, they will order it.

Unfortunately, NoMoreSecrets, it's not as easy as that. I am taking my large dog with me and very few places let you rent with a big dog. They are mostly all in the city near where I live now, which is about 30 minutes from where these jobs are...they are seriously in the middle of nowhere where there are no good apartments. So I'd still have to commute. It doesn't help that any apartments that let you have a dog are usually more expensive than any of the other ones.

Another interview scheduled for Monday. I feel like I keep getting interviews for these jobs that want me to work crazy hours (10-12 hour shifts that rotate so I work 2 or 3 weekends a month) and pay just a little more than minimum wage. I want to give up. I don't want to not work, but I also would rather not be a slave. All these jobs require a decent commute and I'd spend half my paycheck in gas to get there.

Meh, the Nestle job wouldn't be horrible I guess. All the free frozen pizza I want. But the shifts kind of suck and I would work 2 weekends a month. It does pay pretty decent though.

People still fax? I haven't seen a fax or fax machine in years. Everything we deal with is electronic, and trust me, we are not the most progressive office.
